You will orchestrate the full lifecycle of jury consulting engagements, ensuring that every project transition is smooth and professionally executed from intake through final delivery. You will design and lead mock trials and focus groups, interpreting nuanced group dynamics and translating them into actionable client strategies. You will leverage your deep understanding of human behavior and decision-making heuristics to guide clients through complex litigation choices. You will act as a strategic partner to the sales team, helping to articulate the value of jury research to close deals and retain high-profile legal clients. You will take meticulous ownership of projects, managing timelines and deliverables with a commitment to excellence that reflects directly on the Magnals brand. You will synthesize qualitative insights and quantitative data to build compelling narratives that clarify case themes and inform trial strategy. You will serve as the primary liaison between our analytical work and the client's legal objectives, ensuring that every recommendation is grounded in reliable research and clear communication.

What you'll do
Develop comprehensive jury research strategies that align with specific case goals and client expectations.
Design and moderate focus groups and mock trials, creating realistic scenarios that yield actionable behavioral insights.
Analyze demographic and psychographic data to build detailed profiles of target juror populations.
Conduct online jury research to assess community attitudes and perceptions relevant to case themes.
Lead shadow jury projects that provide real-time feedback on trial progress and witness effectiveness.
Perform voir dire preparation and support, including crafting targeted questions to identify optimal jurors.
Execute witness preparation sessions that enhance testimony delivery and credibility under scrutiny.
Compile detailed reports that synthesize research findings into clear, strategic recommendations for legal teams.
Collaborate with litigation graphics specialists to ensure that visual communication reinforces key messages for the jury.
Engage directly with clients to translate complex research data into accessible language and practical next steps.
Monitor ongoing trials to provide real-time strategic consulting based on observed juror reactions and courtroom dynamics.
Build and maintain client relationships by demonstrating proactive problem-solving and consistent project ownership.
Utilize analytical software such as SPSS to process data and identify patterns that influence jury decision-making.
Continuously update your knowledge of social science research methodologies to maintain a cutting edge in jury consulting practices.
Partner with the sales team to develop persuasive proposals that highlight the value of jury consulting services.
Requirements
Possess a graduate degree, such as a Ph.D. or Master's, in psychology or a related field like neuroscience or communication, or a J.D.
Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in jury consulting or a closely related litigation support field.
Show a firm understanding of civil legal processes, procedures, and terminology, even in the absence of a law degree.
Exhibit exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills that convey complex ideas with clarity and precision.
Work effectively in a collaborative environment while also taking independent ownership of project deliverables.
Apply strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills to interpret research data and inform strategic decisions.
Display a solid grasp of social science research methodology and its application to real-world litigation challenges.
Maintain strict professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive client information and case strategy.
Nice to have
Experience with jury selection and voir dire in actual courtroom settings.
