What you'll do

Manage your own clinical caseload on a flexible, contractual basis with full autonomy over your practice. Accept cases referred by Lyra's global corporate clients and provide short-term, goal-oriented counseling to employees and their dependents. Deliver high-quality counseling sessions, typically ranging from one to eight sessions per case, addressing a range of personal and emotional challenges. Support corporate employees and their families who are experiencing stress, burnout, grief, relationship difficulties, or mild-to-moderate anxiety and depression. Apply evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in a way that fits the Employee Assistance Program context. Use Lyra's secure digital platform to handle scheduling, maintain case notes, and ensure compliance with global data privacy standards. Choose your own hours and case volumes to fit your professional availability and workload preferences. Requirements

Hold a relevant clinical degree such as a master's or doctorate in psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field. Possess active, unrestricted licensure or certification to practice in your jurisdiction and maintain it throughout the engagement. Have documented experience delivering short-term, goal-oriented therapeutic interventions in an Employee Assistance Program or similar setting. Demonstrate proficiency in at least one evidence-based modality, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Show competence with digital health tools and electronic health record systems for managing scheduling, documentation, and secure communication. Understand global data privacy regulations and be committed to maintaining strict confidentiality in all clinical interactions. Communicate effectively in English, as this role serves international corporate clients across multiple regions. Be comfortable managing a self-directed caseload with minimal supervision while meeting quality and responsiveness standards.

Nice to have

Experience working with Japanese corporate or international organizational settings is a strong advantage for this Osaka-based role. Familiarity with the Japanese mental health landscape and cultural considerations in therapy can enhance your effectiveness with local and regional clients. Prior training or certification in additional therapeutic approaches beyond the core evidence-based modalities is welcomed. Knowledge of Japanese language skills, in addition to English, may broaden your capacity to serve diverse employee populations. Experience with AI-powered digital health platforms or telehealth delivery models aligns well with Lyra's technology-driven care approach. Any background in publishing, research, or contributing to peer-reviewed literature reflects a commitment to clinical excellence.
