- Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review schedule updates, discuss challenges, and strategize solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing project status, schedule performance, and any potential risks.
- Utilize critical path method (CPM) analysis to assess the impact of changes on project timelines and resource allocation.
- Assist in resource management by tracking labor and material availability, ensuring that all necessary resources are in place for project execution.
- Implement best practices in scheduling and project management to enhance efficiency and productivity across all projects.
- Maintain a centralized database of project schedules, ensuring that all updates are documented and accessible to relevant team members.
- Provide training and support to junior schedulers and project team members on scheduling tools and methodologies.
- Participate in post-project evaluations to assess scheduling performance and identify areas for improvement in future projects.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication regarding project timelines and expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project scheduling within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and scheduling methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work outputs.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and legal requirements is a plus.
Nice to have
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or a similar credential.
- Experience with Lean Construction principles or methodologies.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Previous experience working with government or municipal projects.
- Familiarity with budget management and cost control processes.
