What you'll do

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project plans and timelines.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors and laborers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify any potential issues that may arise.
• Facilitate effective communication among team members, clients, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and address any concerns promptly.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and progress updates.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all personnel on-site.
• Manage project resources, including materials and equipment, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Resolve conflicts and challenges that may arise during the construction process, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and laborers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings to discuss project scope, timelines, and expectations with all stakeholders.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with local building codes and regulations, as well as Bamboohr's quality standards.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly and concisely.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as required.

Nice to have

• A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced construction technologies.
• Certification from a recognized professional organization, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Associate Constructor (AC).

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar).
• Strong analytical skills to assess project performance and implement improvements.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling techniques and methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
