About the role
You will own the end to end implementation of the Khan Academy schools programme in Telangana in close partnership with the Department of School Education. You will drive adoption and deepen usage of the platform across government schools by designing and delivering high quality training for officials and teachers. You will translate data and field insights into actionable improvements for the programme and partners. You will represent Khan Academy professionally in all stakeholder interactions and act as the key liaison between the state administration and the implementation teams. You will mentor and guide local teams to ensure consistent execution aligned with our learning outcomes. You will continuously iterate on implementation strategies to scale impact and sustain engagement across the state.

What you'll do
Drive the implementation of the Khan Academy learning platform across government schools in Telangana in collaboration with the Department of School Education.
Take ownership of assigned work streams and deliver on pre-agreed goals within defined timelines and quality standards.
Deliver and support the delivery of training to education officials and teachers on a regular and recurring basis.
Follow up on training implementation and synthesise insights and challenges to strengthen the programme for all teachers continuously.
Build and maintain strong relationships with administration officials including nodal officers, state resource persons, district-level officers, and school stakeholders.
Gather data-backed insights to assist the programme and partners in making informed decisions throughout the implementation.
Conduct regular field visits multiple times per week and maintain regular touchpoints with officers and teachers to generate actionable insights.
Use field insights to identify strategic levers that increase adoption and deepen usage of Khan Academy in schools.
Manage knowledge effectively across teams and document processes, learnings, and best practices for scalability and replication.
Support the design and execution of monitoring frameworks to track progress, outcomes, and impact indicators.
Collaborate closely with Khan Academy India's Content team, Partner Operations, Teacher Professional Development, and Data and Efficacy teams.
Ensure high-quality implementation of the programme by aligning with Khan Academy standards and best practices.
Represent Khan Academy professionally in all stakeholder meetings and communications.
Contribute to internal reports, learning notes, and insights sharing sessions based on field experience.
Requirements
Have a Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of relevant full-time work experience in roles related to education implementation, programme management, or public sector engagement.
Demonstrate proven experience in managing and coordinating large-scale education programmes, preferably within government contexts.
Show strong ownership for delivering against agreed goals, with excellent planning, organisation, and follow-through skills.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Telugu, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Have a demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Be comfortable with frequent travel across districts and rural areas in Telangana for field visits and stakeholder meetings.
Be willing and able to comply with local legal requirements for employment, including background checks and necessary documentation.
Have strong data literacy and the ability to interpret insights to inform decision-making and programme adjustments.

Practical notes
The role is a 12-month contract, subject to extension.
The position is based in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Regular travel of 3-4 times per week within the district and across the state is required.
This is a contract-based role with a duration of 12 months, subject to extension.
Candidates must be willing to comply with visa and background verification processes as required for government partnerships.
