About the role
Khan Academy is hiring a Training Lead for Physics based in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. What you'll do
Lead the development of physics training curricula and instructional materials for Khan Academy's learning platform. Collaborate with physics subject matter experts to review and validate scientific accuracy of all training content. Manage and mentor a team of trainers, content writers, and instructional designers focused on physics education. Design assessment items and practice exercises that align with physics learning objectives across grade levels. Analyze learner performance data to identify gaps in physics content and recommend improvements to training materials. Conduct regular training sessions and workshops for internal teams on physics pedagogy and best practices. Ensure all physics content meets accessibility and inclusivity standards for diverse learner populations. Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate training materials into the Khan Academy platform effectively. Develop onboarding programs for new trainers joining the physics education team. Establish and maintain documentation standards for all physics training resources and processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Physics or a closely related field is required. Minimum of five years of experience in physics education, training, or curriculum development. Demonstrated experience leading a team of trainers or instructional designers in an educational setting. Strong understanding of physics concepts spanning mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and modern physics. Proficiency in designing digital learning experiences and online assessments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating clear instructional content. Ability to analyze learner data and use insights to improve training effectiveness. Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and educators. Familiarity with learning management systems and educational technology platforms is essential.
