About the role
You will take ownership of the Khan Academy programme implementation in government schools across Maharashtra in partnership with the Department of School Education. You will drive execution of work streams and deliver against pre-agreed goals under the guidance of the Program Lead. You will conduct regular field visits to generate insights that strengthen program strategy and deepen adoption in schools. You will create engaging resources and high-quality nudges to support effective implementation on the ground. You will set up and manage communication channels with teachers, principals, and education officers to ensure clarity and action on program goals. You will build and maintain strong relationships with administration officials at state, district, and school levels. You will continuously unearth insights from program delivery and use them to iterate and improve implementation quality. You will collaborate closely with Khan Academy India's Content, Partner Operations, Teacher Professional Development, and Data and Efficacy teams.

What you'll do
Regularly conduct field visits (3-4 per week) and maintain consistent touchpoints with education officers and teachers to surface insights that guide strategic program levers.
Create engaging implementation resources and clear communication nudges that drive action and understanding among teachers and schools.
Support the execution of training for education officials and teachers, ensuring they can effectively use the Khan Academy platform and integrate it into classroom practice.
Follow up on training implementation to uncover challenges and opportunities, and use findings to continuously strengthen the program for all teachers.
Manage relationships with nodal officers, state resource persons, district-level officers, and school stakeholders to enable smooth program operations.
Set up communication channels and coordinate creative strategies to share program goals, updates, and best practices across stakeholders.
Manage knowledge effectively by capturing lessons learned, documenting processes, and sharing actionable insights with internal teams.
Collaborate with the Content team to ensure that implementation practices are informed by high-quality, context-relevant learning materials.
Work closely with Partner Operations and Teacher Professional Development teams to align on execution and capacity-building efforts.
Partner with the Data and Efficacy team to use data-backed insights for refining implementation strategies and measuring program impact.
Support the Program Lead in driving the implementation of the Khan Academy learning platform across government schools in Maharashtra.
Ensure that all activities are delivered in line with program timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
Contribute to efficacy studies and evidence generation that demonstrate the impact of Khan Academy in improving learning outcomes.
Requirements
You must possess a graduate degree with a strong academic record and demonstrable experience in education program implementation.
You must have a proven track record of working with government education departments or large-scale education initiatives.
You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and lean team environment with frequent pivots.
You must have strong written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one Indian language, with Marathi being a strong advantage in Maharashtra.
You must be able to travel frequently within Pune and across Maharashtra for field visits and stakeholder meetings.
You must be proficient in using digital tools for communication, documentation, and data tracking.
You must have experience in designing training content and delivering capacity-building sessions for teachers and officials.
You must demonstrate strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels.
You must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
You must be passionate about improving learning outcomes for underserved students and committed to a learner-centered approach.
You must be comfortable working within a structured program framework while also taking initiative to propose improvements.
You must have a deep commitment to public education and the mission of providing a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere.
You must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends to align with field activities and training timelines.
Practical notes
This is a twelve-month contract-based role. You will be required to travel frequently within Pune and across Maharashtra for field visits and stakeholder meetings. There may be occasional evenings and weekends required to align with training schedules and program timelines. The role is fully onsite in Pune, and candidates must be willing to relocate or settle in Pune for the duration of the contract. There is no mention of compensation on this job page.
