Sr. Quality Engineer
Job description
Sr. Quality Engineer at Hinge Health.
About the role
This role centers on ensuring the quality and reliability of computer vision-powered experiences that guide members through movement sessions. You will own the testing strategy and quality standards that make accurate, engaging, and reliable interactions possible for members using Hinge Health's mobile and vision-driven features. By partnering closely with computer vision researchers, software engineers, and product designers, you will expand test surfaces, reduce manual effort through automation, and raise the bar for release readiness at every stage of development. You will translate complex motion-sensitive interactions into clear validation strategies that protect the member experience and uphold the integrity of the platform. This position is responsible for bridging the gap between innovative computer vision capabilities and polished, production-ready user experiences through rigorous testing practices. You will act as a quality leader who ensures risks are understood, measured, and mitigated before members encounter them.
Key facts

- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience testing mobile applications, including those built with React Native, native iOS, or native Android.
- You have direct experience creating test plans and driving coverage across unit, integration, end-to-end, automation, and manual testing for new product capabilities from initial concept through release.
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field, which provides foundational knowledge relevant to testing computer vision and interactive systems.
Nice to have
- You have experience building, improving, or maintaining test automation frameworks to catch regressions earlier and reduce manual effort in complex applications.
- You have 2 or more years of experience creating and executing comprehensive test plans for new product capabilities, including feature sets that involve complex interactions and real-time behavior.
- You have 3 or more years operating as a senior or lead QA partner, driving testing strategy or evolving quality practices for an entire team in a fast-paced product organization.
- You use Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript for test automation, tooling, or debugging workflows to support quality initiatives and improve test infrastructure.
- You have experience testing interactive mobile experiences such as video games, augmented reality or virtual reality applications, or other real-time, motion-sensitive products that require precise validation.
