About the role
The Project Manager will own the end to end delivery of operational and ERP/HCM projects for public sector clients while acting as the primary day to day liaison between the client, engineering, partner organizations, and the executive team. This role requires strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of speaking with diverse stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity. The position holder will coordinate complex project activities, manage evolving client expectations, and drive consistent, high quality execution across planning, testing, and go live or cutover phases. You will apply structured PMO processes to support both cloud and on premises infrastructure engagements. Success in this role depends on your ability to manage multiple workstreams, validate process flows, and ensure transaction integrity throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive documentation and ensuring that all project activities adhere to Highstreet's methodology. The role demands a detail oriented and high energy professional who can thrive under pressure and manage simultaneous engagements.

What you'll do
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables for ERP, HCM, and infrastructure workstreams.
- Align project scope and requirements with Oracle Cloud, PeopleSoft, EBS, and OCI capabilities in collaboration with solution architects and technical leads.
- Maintain structured project documentation, logs, and repository structures including RAID, RTM, agendas, testing artifacts, and meeting minutes.
- Incorporate process flow validation and transaction lifecycle checkpoints into project timelines while accounting for legacy system dependencies.
- Support onboarding, project setup, and strict adherence to PMO templates and processes, especially within public sector engagements.
- Serve as the primary day to day contact for client communication with public sector agency stakeholders and internal team members.
- Manage client expectations regarding timelines, deliverables, risks, and change requests through clear and consistent messaging.
- Lead recurring status meetings, ensuring agendas are prepared and comprehensive meeting minutes are posted for all participants.
- Coordinate work across functional, technical, infrastructure, and QA team members to maintain alignment and momentum.
- Support onshore and offshore alignment and actively resolve blockers or conflicts that may impact project delivery.
- Review team progress, documentation quality, and performance against project expectations and timelines.
- Monitor project budgets, burn rate, and staffing updates in partnership with project administrators to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Support forecasting and financial reporting activities with accurate data and transparent communication.
- Ensure testing scenarios reflect accurate transaction lifecycles and edge cases across both cloud and on premises environments.
- Log and track all project risks, issues, and action items in a structured manner.
- Facilitate mitigation discussions and escalate items appropriately when necessary to protect project outcomes.
- Identify risks related to process breakdowns, incorrect accounting, or integration gaps across transaction flows including legacy system constraints.
- Support the change control process and ensure proper documentation of any out of scope work.
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, and testing documentation across ERP, HCM, and infrastructure projects to ensure completeness.
- Ensure test scenarios validate end to end transaction integrity including accounting, approvals, integrations, and reporting outputs.
- Ensure test cases, logs, and approvals are completed, tracked, and archived according to project standards.
- Support cutover planning, go live execution, and post go live readiness for both cloud implementations and legacy system enhancements.
- Provide regular project status updates using R/Y/G indicators and required client reports including public sector specific reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Highstreet's methodology and actively participate in internal QA and PMO checkpoints.
- Help improve post go live handoff processes and contribute to lessons learned documentation for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, IT, Business, or a related field is mandatory for this role.
- Possess 2 to 5 years of project management experience with a focus on ERP, HCM projects, and infrastructure implementations in cloud or on premises environments.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing or supporting functional design documents, process flows, or accounting mappings is required.
- Show strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills in previous professional engagements.
- Have hands on experience with project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or similar platforms.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross functional teams and effectively manage multiple workstreams across cloud and legacy systems.
- Must be highly detailed oriented, capable of managing multi threaded tasks, and possess high energy levels to handle simultaneous projects.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and focus when managing complex project documentation and deliverables.
- Commitment to following Highstreet's established processes and contributing to quality assurance and PMO checkpoints.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as needed to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
- Capability to work within the legal authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the engagement.
Nice to have
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), ERP systems, reporting systems, and web applications.
- Experience supporting public sector clients or government agency engagements.
- Ability to connect the dots between business operations, system configuration, and downstream reporting impacts.
- Familiarity with PMO governance, RAID management, and change control processes.
- Possession of PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification is considered a plus for this position.
