About the role
You will own the end to end management of plant level inventory for maintenance repair and operating supplies ensuring a reliable flow of critical items. You will partner daily with maintenance technicians facilities teams and production operations to safeguard uptime and support safe working conditions. You will manage storeroom organization and layout driving standardization and clear visual controls for all indirect materials. You will own supplier coordination for on site vendor managed inventory programs and ensure replenishment strategies are executed with precision. You will enforce strict inventory accuracy through cycle counting and physical verification eliminating hidden stock and non value added waste. You will apply urgency and agility to adapt processes meet changing demands and support the company values of safety quality customer obsession speed and agility. You will cross functional teams to balance service levels working capital and operational efficiency across the plant.

What you'll do
Drive prioritization of incoming indirect material and consumables ensuring maintenance repair and operating supplies are available when and where they are needed.
Own management of the storeroom layout and organization implementing clear visual controls and logical bin locations to streamline material retrieval and reduce search time.
Execute cycle counting and physical inventory initiatives to maintain accurate inventory records and validate data integrity in the system.
Manage vendor managed inventory programs on site collaborating with supplier representatives to define triggers replenishment rules and service levels.
Coordinate with purchasing and supply chain to translate maintenance requirements into purchase orders and expedite orders to meet production needs.
Monitor stock levels and lead times applying urgency to prevent stockouts while optimizing working capital and reducing obsolete inventory.
Perform root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and work with cross functional partners to implement sustainable corrective actions.
Support facilities teams by ensuring availability of tools spare parts and PPE enabling safe and efficient maintenance activities.
Engage with finance teams to reconcile inventory values and ensure alignment with cost tracking and reporting requirements.
Champion continuous improvement by analyzing demand patterns identifying slow moving items and proposing disposition or standardization actions.
Collaborate with operations to align storeroom processes with production schedules minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment reliability.
Leverage speed and agility to respond to changing requirements reprioritize inventory tasks and support rapid project turnarounds.
Partner with engineering and maintenance to document standard parts lists and substitution rules improving procurement efficiency.
Provide regular status updates and performance metrics to internal stakeholders demonstrating service levels inventory accuracy and cost impacts.
Requirements
You must possess a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
You must have verifiable experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment supporting maintenance operations.
You must demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced setting.
You must have proficiency in using computers and common office software tools for data entry and reporting.
You must have effective written and verbal communication skills for daily interaction with team members and suppliers.
You must be able to lift and move moderate weights as required to perform storeroom activities.
You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for this position at this time.
You must comply with company safety standards and follow all documented procedures in the storeroom and production areas.
You must maintain attention to detail ensuring that inventory records match physical stock and supporting documentation.
Nice to have
Experience with vendor managed inventory systems or MRO platforms.
Basic understanding of inventory management principles such as ABC analysis and reorder point calculations.
Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
