What you'll do

• Establish and clearly articulate the product strategy and vision, acting as the primary Product Owner responsible for creating innovative products that meet market demands and user needs.
• Lead efforts to identify new market opportunities, develop strategies for expansion, and scale existing operations to maximize growth and impact.
• Build, develop, and guide cross-functional teams comprising engineers, operators, and designers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages leadership development and continuous improvement.
• Make critical decisions related to core technology development, product features, and business direction, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer expectations.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping through manufacturing, launch, and post-market support, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to ensure product development aligns with strategic objectives, customer feedback, and industry trends.
• Manage resources, budgets, and timelines effectively to optimize project success and ensure efficient use of company assets.
• Stay informed about emerging trends, new technologies, and competitive landscape to maintain Form Labs' position as an innovator in 3D printing and manufacturing.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and continuous improvement processes to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, promoting our vision and strengthening relationships with key partners.
• Drive initiatives that foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence within the organization.
• Lead efforts to develop scalable processes for product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an entrepreneur or in a significant business venture, preferably within a technology startup environment, showcasing a strong appetite for risk-taking and proactive leadership.
• Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary technology products, with comprehensive understanding of the entire product lifecycle from concept to market launch.
• Strong results-oriented mindset, with a track record of executing tasks efficiently and effectively, whether it involves pitching to clients, establishing supply chains, or troubleshooting prototypes.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in hiring, mentoring, and guiding teams in dynamic, high-performance settings.
• Excellent decision-making capabilities, with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges confidently.
• Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences, including stakeholders, team members, and clients.
• Experience managing projects, resources, and stakeholder expectations to deliver on strategic objectives.
• Deep interest in innovation, manufacturing, or related fields, with a passion for developing cutting-edge solutions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory considerations, and compliance issues relevant to manufacturing and product development.

Nice to have

• Background in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Previous entrepreneurial experience, including founding or leading a startup.
• Advanced degrees such as an MBA or relevant consulting experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, regulatory standards, and product compliance, especially within healthcare or life sciences sectors.
• Familiarity with 3D printing technologies, materials, and applications.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or SQL to inform product decisions and strategic planning.
• Exposure to supply chain management, quality assurance, and scaling manufacturing operations.
• Experience working with hardware and software integration in complex product ecosystems.

Practical notes

We are deeply committed to fostering an equitable and inclusive workplace. Our compensation package includes equity through Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), allowing employees to share in the company's growth and success. The salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $250,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and anticipated contributions. We believe in transparent and competitive compensation aligned with market standards.
