What you'll do

Own social video projects from pitch to hitting publish, handling trend ideation, printing on Form Labs machines, filming, editing, and distribution across global channels.

Operate independently on quick-turn creative tasks while integrating seamlessly with the broader social media team to support wider marketing campaigns.

Translate complex engineering projects and physical prints into compelling visual narratives that speak to engineers, artists, doctors, and makers.

Analyze content performance through data-driven reporting, using insights to refine strategy and optimize for reach and engagement.

Spot real-time social trends and viral audio, then rapidly convert these moments into relevant and timely Form Labs content.

Set up and execute demanding print sessions on Form Labs hardware to capture high-quality visuals and process documentation.

Conduct on-camera segments and voiceovers to deliver clear, energetic explanations of technical concepts and build processes.

Manage the full asset lifecycle, organizing raw footage, project files, and final deliverables within digital asset management systems.

Partner with the product and engineering teams to identify story-worthy builds and emerging use cases for 3D printing.

Adapt messaging for diverse platforms, ensuring the tone and format are optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

Maintain a consistent publishing calendar, ensuring content drops align with product launches and community initiatives.

Document the end-to-end journey of a build, capturing challenges and breakthroughs to humanize the engineering process.

Leverage first-party data to iterate on content formats, hooks, and calls to action for maximum audience impact.

Champion the Form Labs brand voice while bringing fresh ideas rooted in the realities of the maker community.

Requirements

You must possess hands-on experience with video editing software such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, demonstrating a strong grasp of editing workflows.

You must have a genuine curiosity for physical making, with an interest in understanding how things are designed and built, particularly in a technical context.

Experience with 3D design, CAD, or 3D printing is a major plus and highly valued for this role.

You must be fluent in the language and culture of social platforms, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and LinkedIn, and understand what drives viral engagement.

You must be able to identify compelling technical applications and translate them into narratives that balance fun, humor, and professionalism.

You must be a self-starter capable of taking an idea from concept to a finished export independently while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for this internship position.

You must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at the time of application and possess permission to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.

You must commit to the full duration of the internship, from the start date of September 14, 2026, to the end date of December 18, 2026, without interruption.

This is an onsite internship located in Somerville, MA requiring full-time availability during the specified term.

You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Interns are expected to participate in cohort-based social and professional development activities alongside their regular workload.

The role includes access to unlimited 3D prints as a core part of the internship experience.

You should plan to attend optional culture events across the diverse Form Labs community.

Catered on-site lunches are provided three times per week, and the office offers snacks, beverages, and treats.
