Do you want to change how the world creates? This Freelance German Translator role at Form Labs focuses on post-editing AI-translated English marketing content into German for a wide range of audiences. You will own the quality and accuracy of all approved content across engineering, manufacturing, dental, medical, jewelry, and education domains. In this position, you will become deeply proficient with our CAT tool and leverage it to maintain consistency and high standards in every German translation. You will manage and update Form Labs' German termbase and translation memory while providing actionable feedback to localization management and content writers. Another core responsibility involves localizing video content into German, including subtitling, voice-over creation or editing, and refinement of AI-generated video assets. What you'll do
Post-edit English marketing materials, product and software UIs translated by a custom-made AI model to ensure linguistic precision.
Ensure high-quality and accuracy for all approved content before it reaches end users in German-speaking markets.
Provide feedback to localization management and content writers to enhance source content and improve localization workflows.
Become proficient with our CAT tool to maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency in German translations across all projects.
Manage and update Form Labs' German termbase and translation memory to support scalable and accurate localization efforts.

Requirements
Native-level German proficiency (C2) with impeccable grammar and exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
At least 2 years of professional experience in translation, freelance, agency, or in-house roles, including substantial editing responsibilities.
Demonstrated understanding of marketing communication style, tone, and brand strategy across multiple channels.
Familiarity with Computer-Assisted Translation tools such as memoQ, XTM, Trados, or Memsource, plus experience translating technical, scientific, medical, or commercial content.
Proven ability to clearly and concisely convey complex technical and non-technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Strong sense of independence and drive, capable of meeting tight deadlines while consistently delivering high-quality output.
A deep passion for translation, linguistics, terminology, or closely related fields that motivates continuous learning and excellence.
Detail-oriented mindset that ensures accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established brand and quality standards.
Nice to have
