About the role
You own the strategy, planning, execution, and performance of a portfolio of events for Form Labs, spanning trade shows and owned experiences that bring ideas to life. You will define and execute event programs independently, ensuring each activation meets clear objectives and drives measurable business outcomes. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Design, and Leadership to shape how Form Labs shows up on some of the most important stages in the fabrication ecosystem. You will manage booths ranging from 12sqm to over 200sqm, coordinating end-to-end planning, staffing, and on-site execution while optimizing budgets and vendor relationships. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will leverage data and insights to refine formats, messaging, and the attendee experience for each event. You will serve as a visible brand ambassador, building relationships with customers, partners, and prospects onsite. Key facts
What you'll do
- Own a portfolio of various trade shows, from 12sqm to 200+sqm, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals.
- Develop and execute plans to achieve event objectives, ensuring milestones are met and outcomes are delivered on schedule.
- Lead end-to-end event planning and execution, including pre/post-event campaigns, staffing, booth management, and internal enablement for demos and presentations.
- Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to ensure event presence effectively represents the brand and showcases our growing product portfolio.
- Manage budgets, contracts, vendors, and logistics, optimizing spend and operational efficiency across multiple event formats.
- Serve as a visible brand ambassador, building relationships with customers, partners, and prospects onsite during high-profile industry moments.
- Gather and analyze event performance insights, using learnings to continuously improve formats, messaging, and attendee experience.
- Collaborate across Sales, Product, Design, and Marketing teams, providing recommendations and influencing decisions to maximize event impact.
- Responsible for ordering and tracking event inventory including collateral, giveaways, and other physical materials used at shows.
- Travel as needed (~25% of the time) to attend events, oversee execution, and support onsite teams, primarily within European regions.
- Coordinate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure event content reflects the latest capabilities and customer use cases.
- Maintain detailed documentation for each event, including post-mortems, budgets, and performance dashboards for stakeholder review.
- Identify opportunities to innovate within the event experience, testing new formats that better engage attendees and accelerate decision-making.
- Partner with Sales to align event participation with pipeline goals, ensuring activities support demand generation and conversion.
- Monitor competitor event strategies and industry trends to keep Form Labs events distinctive and relevant in a crowded market.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline as the foundation for your expertise.
- Bring 5+ years of experience in event marketing, including owning and executing complex B2B trade show and event programs from concept to close.
- Demonstrate proven experience managing multi-event portfolios with booths ranging from small to large-format, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Show experience supporting product launches and evolving product portfolios through events, ensuring effective market positioning and message clarity.
- Exhibit strong project management skills, being highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects, resources, budgets, and onsite personnel under tight deadlines.
- Possess excellent communication skills in written and oral forms, with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner effectively with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams, aligning on objectives and shared outcomes for each event.
- Be data and metric-driven, with the ability to draw insights from event and marketing data to optimize future outcomes and ROI.
- Embrace a creative, innovative, and proactive mindset, identifying new opportunities and thinking outside the box to enhance event experiences.
- Present a confident, friendly, and dynamic personality, able to represent Form Labs as a brand ambassador in fast-paced environments.
- Feel comfortable traveling approximately 25% of the time to attend events and oversee onsite execution, primarily within Europe.
- Maintain attention to detail and ownership for logistics, inventory, contracts, and on-site operations to ensure seamless execution.
