About the role
You will shape the narrative of Grafana Labs across global social platforms and executive communication channels. This role owns the strategy and execution of influencer relations and creator partnerships that amplify our open source ethos. You will craft and edit thought leadership content that positions our spokespeople as industry authorities on observability and open culture. You will build and optimize AI-assisted workflows that enhance productivity while preserving rigorous editorial judgment. This position requires you to partner cross-functionally with social, PR, community, and developer relations teams to integrate influencer efforts into broader campaigns. You will support the employee advocacy program to amplify key messages and extend our reach through trusted networks. You will manage high-visibility content including the award-winning Big Tent podcast and support on-site presence at industry events. Your work will directly support the growth and retention of our diverse customer base spanning major global enterprises.
Key facts
What you'll do
Develop and evolve the company's influencer relations and content creator program, including strategy, recruitment, onboarding, budgeting, relationship management, and reporting.
Draft, edit, and publish leaders' social content across channels such as LinkedIn and X to ensure consistent and compelling narratives.
Build and optimize AI-assisted workflows to support content development, campaign planning, and stakeholder collaboration, while maintaining strong human judgment and editorial oversight.
Partner cross-functionally with social, PR, community, product marketing, events, and developer relations to identify creator opportunities and integrate influencer efforts into broader campaigns.
Support the Sr. Social Media Manager in managing the employee advocacy program to amplify key messages through our Grafanistas.
Provide on-site support at company and industry events, including staffing executive and customer interviews to capture insights and stories.
Assist in managing, scheduling, and publishing Grafana Labs' award-winning Big Tent podcast across relevant distribution channels.
Help translate industry trends, product narratives, and leadership perspectives into thoughtful social media content for diverse audiences.
Support internal communications coordination, helping to amplify team achievements and corporate milestones through appropriate internal channels.
Serve as a flexible partner on high-priority PR moments, providing additional support where needed across planning, writing, coordination, amplification, and analysis.
Develop social media plans for spokespeople, helping to convert complex technical topics into accessible and engaging narratives.
Support the Sr. Social Media Manager with social content creation and adaptation across Grafana Labs' social channels, including short-form video and campaign toolkits.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
Minimum 4 years of marketing experience, preferably in social media marketing or public relations, is required.
You are experienced in developing and managing influencer and creator programs, including recruitment, onboarding, and relationship management.
You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging content.
You are comfortable working in a fully remote, asynchronous environment while maintaining high levels of collaboration and trust.
You have a proven track record of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience with AI-assisted content workflows and tools is valued as part of your modern marketing toolkit.
You understand the principles of open source, open standards, and open ecosystems and can communicate their value to diverse audiences.
Nice to have
Experience with podcast production and distribution, including the management of programs like Big Tent.
Familiarity with observability platforms, monitoring tools, and technical documentation ecosystems.
Knowledge of community engagement strategies within developer relations and technical creator communities.
Experience supporting executive social media programs and thought leadership initiatives at scale.
