What you'll do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global fulfillment and logistics strategy that aligns with the company's growth targets, profitability goals, and customer satisfaction standards.
- Lead and manage large-scale operational initiatives, including third-party logistics (3PL) migrations, new warehouse openings, and upgrades to fulfillment infrastructure, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product Development, Sales, Finance, and IT to create detailed supply chain readiness plans for new product launches and market expansions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing current fulfillment processes, identifying bottlenecks, and deploying innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
- Work with finance and sales teams to develop scenario models for inventory management, capacity planning, and market entry strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Optimize the company's global delivery strategy by improving delivery estimates, reducing shipping costs, and increasing margins through process innovations and strategic partnerships.
- Standardize regional fulfillment operations into a cohesive, scalable global model that maintains high efficiency, data integrity, and operational consistency as the company expands.
- Lead efforts to implement new technologies and systems that support fulfillment operations, including warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and e-commerce platform integrations such as Shopify Plus.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing global team, fostering a culture of accountability, strategic thinking, and continuous learning.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and report progress to executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), to maintain legal and security standards across all operations.
- Promote a safety-first culture within fulfillment facilities and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and service levels for logistics and fulfillment services.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in global logistics and supply chain management to keep the organization at the forefront of innovation.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is required; a Master's degree such as an MBA or MS is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations strategy, logistics, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of managing complex global projects in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels, from executive leadership to warehouse staff.
- Demonstrated experience as a strategic partner to senior leadership, with the ability to translate business goals into operational initiatives.
- Proven project management skills, including managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with global logistics, fulfillment technologies, and supply chain software systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and scenario modeling.
- Knowledge of compliance standards such as ITAR and other relevant regulations affecting global logistics.

- Extensive experience with global ERP and WMS systems, especially in integrating with e-commerce platforms like Shopify Plus.

- Experience working with international vendors, customs, and regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and import/export compliance.
- Familiarity with automation and robotics technologies used in fulfillment centers.

- Proficiency in supply chain management software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
- Strong data analysis skills, including experience with Excel, SQL, or other analytical tools.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools such as MS Project, Asana, or Jira.
- Knowledge of logistics and fulfillment technologies, including automation, robotics, and tracking systems.
- Ability to develop and interpret operational KPIs and metrics to inform decision-making.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and integrations, particularly Shopify Plus.

Compensation
The total annual compensation for this role includes base salary and equity components. The salary range is $135,000 to $220,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, and contributions.
