This role is pivotal in shaping the global strategy and execution of our operational framework. The VP of Operations will oversee critical areas such as manufacturing engineering, supply chain management, logistics, and materials operations, ensuring that our processes are efficient, precise, and scalable. As we continue to expand our reach in hardware, software, and materials, this leader will play a crucial role in refining our operational processes and identifying growth opportunities.

What you'll do

• Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, providing strategic insights and operational leadership.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year strategy aimed at scaling Form Labs' global operations and enhancing product capabilities.
• Lead the manufacturing and operations engineering teams, focusing on the development and optimization of processes and tooling to produce high-quality, precision products at scale.
• Manage supply demand processes, including forecasting, aligning supply with financial and sales objectives, overseeing factory builds, and ensuring effective customer allocation during new product introductions (NPIs).
• Drive excellence in logistics and supply chain management by negotiating with partners, optimizing global systems, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
• Expand our global manufacturing footprint and establish partnerships to meet the increasing demand for our hardware and materials.
• Collaborate closely with research and development, product, and go-to-market teams to facilitate new product launches and material introductions.
• Identify and pursue adjacent business opportunities that can enhance revenue growth and improve profit margins.
• Establish industry-leading operational practices, cost structures, and sustainability initiatives to reinforce our market leadership.

Requirements

• An MBA or equivalent leadership experience is essential for this role.
• A robust background in operations, supply chain management, and manufacturing is required.
• Proven experience in scaling global, multi-site manufacturing networks is necessary.
• Deep expertise in manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and logistics operations is critical.
• A successful track record in building strong vendor relationships and negotiating high-value contracts is essential.
• Demonstrated capability to formulate and execute long-term strategies that enhance operational capabilities, improve margins, and facilitate growth at scale.

Nice to have

• Experience in the 3D printing or additive manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with sustainability practices in manufacturing and supply chain management is a plus.
• Previous experience in a technology-driven environment can be beneficial.

• The annual salary for this role ranges from $175,000 to $300,000, depending on experience, skills, and the expected impact on the organization.
