The Regional People Operations Specialist will support human resources and people-related functions for the company's operations in the Budapest region. This position involves managing employee relations, coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with local labor regulations. What you'll do
Support the onboarding and orientation of new hires in the Budapest office and the surrounding region
Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files in strict accordance with company policies and procedures
Coordinate performance review cycles and assist managers with delivering constructive feedback processes
Handle employee inquiries related to benefits enrollment, time off requests, and workplace policies
Partner with the global people operations team to roll out new initiatives and regional programs
Ensure full compliance with Hungarian labor laws and all applicable employment regulations
Organize and coordinate team-building activities and employee engagement events across the Budapest region
Assist with recruitment efforts including scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate experience, and supporting hiring managers
Monitor and report on regional people operations metrics, workforce data, and departmental KPIs
Support the development and updating of HR documentation, standard operating procedures, and process improvements
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate time and attendance tracking for regional staff
Assist with the administration of employee surveys and internal feedback collection initiatives
Support the implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the regional office
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required
Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a people operations or HR generalist role
Strong working knowledge of Hungarian labor laws and current employment regulations is essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hungarian languages
Demonstrated experience managing employee records and working with HR information systems
Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion, tact, and a high level of professionalism
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and consistent follow-through
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in using HR databases and people management software platforms is expected
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently is important
Nice to have
Experience working in a multinational or geographically distributed company environment is highly valuable
Familiarity with 3D printing or manufacturing industry practices and production workflows
Knowledge of additional European languages beyond Hungarian and English is considered a plus
Previous experience with payroll processing, benefits administration, or total compensation analysis is helpful
Understanding of data privacy regulations and GDPR compliance in the European Union
Experience with change management and supporting organizational restructuring initiatives
Experience with onboarding platforms and new hire welcome program coordination
Background in employee onboarding and retention strategy development
Skills & tools
Proficiency in HR software platforms and employee management systems is expected
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment management tools
Ability to work with spreadsheets and generate detailed workforce reports
Knowledge of local employment law and regulatory compliance frameworks
Strong interpersonal skills and effective conflict resolution abilities
Knowledge of data privacy tools and European Union compliance standards
Experience with collaboration platforms and video conferencing software
Familiarity with HR analytics and people data reporting dashboards
Comfortable with document management systems and digital filing workflows

This role is based in Budapest, Hungary and requires regular on-site presence at the Form Labs office
The position reports to the regional or global people operations leadership team
