As the Omni Channel Distribution & 3PL Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in enhancing the customer journey by overseeing our regional third-party logistics (3PL) partners. Your primary responsibilities will include optimizing fulfillment operations, ensuring efficiency, and driving cost-saving initiatives.

What you'll do

• Oversee the regional outbound logistics operations, ensuring that our 3PL partners comply with established service level agreements regarding order processing, packaging, and shipping protocols.
• Take charge of managing fulfillment and shipping budgets, actively seeking methods to reduce the "Cost per Order" through strategies such as zone skipping and optimizing carrier selections.
• Collaborate closely with the Data/Systems team to create dashboards that track essential performance indicators, including On-Time In-Full (OTIF) metrics and shipping margin leakage.
• Participate in product launches and prepare for seasonal demand fluctuations by analyzing fulfillment costs and adjusting regional logistics to accommodate increased volume and specialized handling requirements.
• Enhance outbound routing strategies to focus on cost-effective carrier options while ensuring that delivery timelines are met as promised.
• Utilize data on exceptions and recovery processes to inform the continuous improvement framework, investigating delivery failures to pinpoint issues and implement solutions that reduce reshipping expenses.
• Mentor junior coordinators in analytical techniques, guiding them in leveraging logistics data to facilitate operational changes and vendor negotiations.
• Develop strategies for regional reverse logistics and cross-border distribution, emphasizing compliance and efficient transit times for customers.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related discipline is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in E-commerce fulfillment, managing 3PL operations, or outbound logistics is required.
• Strong financial acumen, with a proven track record of overseeing logistics budgets, auditing freight invoices, and performing cost-benefit analyses.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data from ERP/WMS systems and create strategic narratives based on data insights.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, enabling effective collaboration with both warehouse and finance teams.
• Proven ability to solve complex operational challenges, with a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and driving profitability.

Nice to have

• Advanced proficiency in Excel (including Power Query and VBA) or SQL for data extraction and reporting purposes.
• Familiarity with Shopify's fulfillment processes and its integration with global 3PL systems would be advantageous.
• Understanding of "Total Landed Cost" modeling and the implications of international VAT/Tax for regional fulfillment operations.

Compensation

At Form Labs, we value shared success and offer equity as part of our comprehensive compensation package. Full-time employees are granted equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), allowing you to share in the company's growth and success. The annual base salary for this role is competitive, ranging from $75,000 to $115,000 USD, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and anticipated contributions to the organization.

Practical notes

This position is based in Somerville, MA, and is a full-time engagement. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, and visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
