We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Global Supply Manager to oversee the sourcing of critical components essential to our product lineup. This role involves working closely with suppliers across the globe to ensure the highest quality standards, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of materials. The successful candidate will collaborate with our R&D teams to support new product development, manage supplier relationships, and develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks. Key facts
What you'll do
- Partner with the Research & Development (R&D) team to identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers for upcoming product launches, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery standards.
- Manage the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) within the New Product Introduction (NPI) Bill of Materials (BOM), overseeing supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution to optimize value and quality.
- Serve as a technical liaison between suppliers and the R&D team to communicate detailed technical requirements, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct ongoing research on emerging manufacturing technologies, market trends, and supplier capabilities to develop effective supply chain strategies that support the company's growth objectives.
- Identify potential supply risks early, develop mitigation plans, and lead negotiations to improve supplier performance, delivery reliability, and cost structures.
- Lead and track the development and readiness of supplier manufacturing processes, ensuring they are aligned with product design changes and new product introductions.
- Develop and maintain cost models and perform cost estimation for new products, supporting pricing strategies and budget planning.
- Work directly with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure the procurement of materials aligns with project timelines and production schedules for NPI builds.
- Maintain clear-to-build reports prior to NPI launches, providing updates on material availability, lead times, and program costs to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct supplier quality audits, improve yield, and develop process quality plans that meet company standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing supplier performance data, implementing corrective actions, and fostering long-term supplier relationships.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align supply chain activities with overall product development, manufacturing, and business goals.
Requirements
- 1-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, or supplier quality engineering, preferably within a high-tech or manufacturing environment.
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% for supplier visits, quality audits, and relationship management activities.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Proven experience in developing process quality plans, conducting supplier quality audits, and implementing yield improvements.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- High attention to detail, with excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently and as part of a team, with enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles, procurement strategies, and vendor relationship management.
Nice to have
- Experience with 3D CAD design, especially Solidworks, and familiarity with design for manufacturing principles.
- At least 2 years of experience working with electronics, schematics, and related components.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools such as Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, and modeling.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, machining, or assembly.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, tariffs, and import/export compliance.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment.

Compensation
At Form Labs, we believe in equitable compensation, which includes a base salary and equity through RSUs. The annual salary range for this position is $75,000 to $111,000, depending on experience, skills, and expected contributions to the organization.
