The role involves significant physical activity and requires the ability to adapt to various project environments. The individual must be reliable and self-motivated to manage their workload effectively in the field.
Key facts
What you'll do
Apply fluid-applied, spray foam, or sheet membrane barriers to substrate surfaces using appropriate tools and methods.
Install and detail expansion joints to accommodate movement and ensure a sealed system across various building components.
Perform meticulous detail caulking around penetrations, seams, and joints to prevent water intrusion and air leakage.
Apply sealant between Insulated Metal Panels to maintain thermal performance and structural weather resistance.
Adhere insulation to foundation wall surfaces and properly cover with flashing to direct water away from the structure.
Properly lap metal trims to create a sealed system that protects underlying materials from environmental exposure.
Execute dynamic sealant joints in both new construction and retrofit/restoration scenarios to accommodate movement and settling.
Install metal panel joints, concrete tilt-up panel joints, sidewalk and civil sealant joints, fabrics, and joint fillers with precision.
Control joint caulking and masonry joint caulking to manage cracking and maintain the weatherproofing envelope.
Construct sheet metal support flashings that integrate with the existing building envelope to provide enhanced protection.
Install compressed foam expansion joint systems designed to fill gaps and provide a durable seal against moisture.
Execute glazing and glass installs to ensure a weather-tight seal that meets safety and performance standards.
Install foundation sheet waterproofing and insulation to protect the structure from groundwater and hydrostatic pressure.
Apply sheet applied weather barriers and fluid applied weather barriers to create a continuous protective layer around the building.
