You will join a compact, high-performance team tasked with growing our market presence through tech-enabled freight forwarding solutions. In this capacity, you will own the end-to-end sales process for Australian clients, ensuring that every interaction aligns with the strategic goals of the business. What you'll do
- Lead the growth of the Australian business alongside the local team by identifying and converting high-value opportunities.
- Prospect for high-potential clients and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing, ensuring a consistent and professional experience.
- Conduct discovery sessions to identify client supply chain pain points and propose value-driven solutions that address specific operational challenges.
- Coordinate with internal departments to manage the customer onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition from sale to implementation.
- Meet and exceed personal sales targets through strategic planning, disciplined execution, and rigorous analysis of performance metrics.
- Act as a key representative of the Flexport value proposition to new clients and identify opportunities for overseas teams to expand engagement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine operations based on client feedback, using insights to improve service delivery and product positioning.
- Assist with tasks outside of core responsibilities to support the team during this growth phase, demonstrating flexibility and ownership.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Australian logistics market to inform sales strategies and competitive positioning.
- Utilize CRM tools to track all stages of the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely follow-up on all opportunities.
- Present tailored proposals to stakeholders, highlighting cost savings, efficiency gains, and risk mitigation associated with Flexport solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to foster long-term partnerships and repeat business.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a quota-carrying, full-cycle sales role, demonstrating a proven ability to close complex deals.
- Background in business development within the logistics or freight forwarding industry, with a clear track record of success.
- Proficiency in cold-calling, conducting discovery calls, and account management, with a history of converting leads into paying customers.
- Ability to work independently and execute on both high-level strategy and ground-level tasks, showing strong self-direction and discipline.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the capacity to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A client-obsessed mindset with a focus on solution-oriented selling, always prioritizing customer needs and outcomes.
