The company is seeking a meticulous analyst to own the oversight of global trade compliance and international shipping operations. In this capacity, you will be responsible for ensuring the supply chain remains both efficient and fully compliant with evolving international regulations. You will integrate data tools and analytical methodologies to continuously refine logistics strategy and reduce risk. You will act as a key liaison between logistics, engineering, and legal teams to resolve compliance challenges. What you'll do

• Manage end-to-end international freight across air, ocean, and ground transport by coordinating with carriers, 3PLs, and forwarders.
• Oversee import and export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Monitor shipments to proactively address routing issues, delays, or carrier exceptions.
• Direct customs clearance processes, including HTS classification, valuation, and country-of-origin accuracy.
• Audit customs entries and reconcile tariff classifications against engineering and procurement updates.
• Handle export control requirements, including ECCN/EAR determinations, denied party screening, and BIS or OFAC compliance.
• Manage logistics for dangerous goods, specifically lithium-ion batteries.
• Utilize AI and data analytics to model duty spend, forecast tariff exposure, and automate logistics workflows.
• Build dashboards to detect anomalies in customs data and shipment timelines.
• Collaborate with global trade partners to ensure adherence to regional regulations and corporate policies.
• Streamline processes to reduce manual errors and improve the accuracy of trade documentation.
• Support the development of internal controls to enhance compliance and audit readiness.
• Analyze trends in shipment data to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
• Partner with procurement to validate product classifications and ensure accurate harmonized codes.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience managing international freight operations and global logistics partners.
• Proficiency in US customs clearance, import/export regulations, and sections 301 and 232.
• Ability to audit entries and reconcile complex trade data.
• Experience communicating with international suppliers and cross-functional internal teams like GSM, MPM, and Production.
• Demonstrated knowledge of dangerous goods regulations pertaining to lithium-ion batteries.
• Understanding of Incoterms and their application in international shipping contracts.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills for interacting with regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
• Willingness to adhere to company policies regarding data security and confidentiality.
• Capability to work independently and make sound judgments with minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Bachelor degree in supply chain, international business, or an analytical/engineering field.
• Practical experience applying AI or data analytics tools to trade compliance and logistics tasks.
