About the role
You are the central point of contact for the physical operation of Figure's first data unit in Mexico City, owning the end to end functionality of the site. This role requires you to manage the full scope of building services, external safety protocols, and vendor relationships without direct precedent. You will define operational routines from scratch, ensuring the environment remains secure, efficient, and ready for rapid scaling. The position demands a hands on presence and a proactive approach to workplace management. You will work closely with local leadership to align facilities performance with company standards. Your decisions will directly impact the reliability and safety of the facility on a daily basis. This is a foundational role that sets the standard for future sites in the region.

What you'll do
Orchestrate the complete operation of the building, handling maintenance schedules, cleaning cycles, basic utilities, and workplace services for a single facility.
Serve as the primary liaison for security providers, overseeing surveillance systems, CCTV monitoring, and external safety measures.
Select, schedule, and supervise external contractors and service providers, ensuring access control, quality output, and timely execution.
Own the management of service level agreements, contract terms, and support ticket systems, defining escalation paths and driving issue resolution.
Lead facility adaptation and improvement initiatives, coordinating closely with local leadership to implement scalable solutions.
Establish and maintain rigorous safety work routines in collaboration with external teams, ensuring compliance and hazard prevention.
Develop the facilities playbook, documenting processes, vendor details, and budget parameters in alignment with Figure standards.
Coordinate site readiness for rapid growth, anticipating needs and removing operational bottlenecks as the unit expands.
Monitor service performance metrics, using data to identify gaps and drive continuous improvements in facility operations.
Act as the key point of contact for all building related inquiries, providing clear communication and timely responses to internal stakeholders.
Manage vendor onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all contractual and logistical requirements are met efficiently.
Oversee the integrity of external security protocols, working alongside providers to refine procedures and respond to incidents.
Implement preventative maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend the lifecycle of building systems and equipment.
Support cross functional initiatives that require facilities expertise, collaborating with teams to enable smooth execution of projects.
Requirements
Bring a minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities management or workplace operations, with a proven track record of end to end responsibility for a site.
Demonstrate history of managing external vendors and contractors independently, making decisions and enforcing standards without constant oversight.
Be an organized self starter, comfortable working in a hands on field role where you are the single point of accountability for the entire building.
Operate professionally in English, both in written coordination and verbal communication with teams based in the United States.
Thrive in a fast paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and high quality execution.
Show strong problem solving skills, taking ownership of complex issues and guiding them to completion alongside stakeholders.
Commit to upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance, ensuring that all activities within the facility follow established guidelines.
Be reliable and proactive, with the discipline to work autonomously and keep operations running smoothly at all times.
Nice to have
Previous experience in industrial units, warehouses, or mixed office operational environments.
Track record of opening or launching a new unit, setting up processes and teams from the ground up.
Knowledge of Mexican workplace safety regulations and compliance requirements for facilities operations.
Practical notes
This role is based in Mexico City and requires a high level of on site presence.
Travel is not expected as part of this role.
Candidates must be authorized to work in Mexico without sponsorship.
The start date will align with local operational readiness and leadership planning.
