About the role
You will own the end to end logistics that keep Figure's field operations moving without interruption. This role is responsible for ensuring every robot, spare part, and piece of data collection equipment arrives at the right location at the right time. You will manage the full lifecycle of assets from our San Jose headquarters to customer sites and remote field locations. Your work will directly support deployment teams, data collection efforts, and service operations across the network. You will maintain strict visibility into robot status, location, and availability at all times. This position requires proactive problem solving to resolve shipping, customs, and scheduling issues before they impact operations. You will act as the central coordination hub for all field logistics activities across internal teams.

What you'll do
Schedule, track, and manage deployment and return of robots and equipment between HQ, customer sites, and field data collection locations.
Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including freight carriers, customs documentation, and delivery timelines.
Maintain accurate, real-time records of robot and equipment inventory in the field with locations, status, and availability.
Own the process for preparing, inspecting, and documenting equipment before deployment and upon return.
Serve as the primary logistics point of contact across Commercial Operations, ensuring clear communication on availability, schedules, and any delays or issues.
Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, shipping costs, and deployment history.
When needed, travel to customer sites or events to support equipment setup, handoff, or retrieval.
Coordinate receiving processes for parts and robots arriving at Figure's facilities from vendors and partners.
Provide status updates and exception reports to internal stakeholders to keep leadership informed of risks or changes.
Manage relationships with third party logistics providers to ensure service levels are met and costs are controlled.
Implement process improvements that increase reliability, reduce manual work, and improve tracking accuracy.
Support data collection initiatives by ensuring instruments and sensors are available, tracked, and properly packaged for transport.
Assist in forecasting logistics capacity needs based on deployment schedules and growth plans.
Contribute to safety and compliance procedures for handling, storing, and transporting robotics equipment.
Collaborate with manufacturing and field service teams to align production schedules with logistics capacity.
Requirements
5+ years experience in logistics, shipping, asset management, or field operations coordination.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills - comfortable coordinating across multiple teams and external partners.
Proficiency with tracking systems, spreadsheets, and project management tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Jira, Confluence).
Valid driver's license; willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet firm deadlines in a high visibility role.
Comfortable working with hardware, robotics, and sensitive equipment in varied environments.
Commitment to following documented processes and maintaining accurate records.
Nice to have
Experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or hardware company logistics.
Familiarity with international shipping, customs, and import/export documentation.
Experience supporting trade shows, demos, or customer events.
Exposure to inventory management systems or ERP tools.
Practical notes
This is a full-time position based in San Jose, California.
Travel up to 10% of the time may be required for customer site visits or events.
The role may require participation in deployments or equipment retrieval outside standard office hours as needed.
