Copy of Registered Dietitian
Job description
About the role
The Registered Dietitian at Equip owns the clinical nutrition strategy for each patient enrolled in our virtual care program, ensuring that all nutrition interventions align with evidence-based practice and the family-based treatment model. This role requires ownership of the full nutrition care lifecycle, from the initial assessment to discharge planning, within a virtual telehealth environment. You will partner closely with families to translate complex nutrition principles into practical, actionable steps that support the patient's restoration of a healthy relationship with food. The position demands collaboration with therapists, physicians, and mentors to maintain a cohesive and united clinical front. You will be responsible for challenging irrational beliefs about food and weight through structured psychoeducation delivered during telehealth sessions. This role involves the ongoing refinement of individualized meal plans and exposure hierarchies to meet evolving patient needs. You will serve as the primary nutrition expert for families, addressing their concerns and reinforcing treatment directives with clarity and empathy. Ultimately, you will drive measurable progress by documenting outcomes and adjusting care plans to facilitate sustainable recovery for children and adolescents.
