Emarketer is building a talent community for future Account Management openings across our sales organization. We are looking for professionals to manage client portfolios, drive subscription renewals, and expand business relationships. You will act as a trusted advisor to key accounts, ensuring they derive maximum strategic value from our research and insights. This role requires a proactive mindset to identify growth opportunities and execute on expansion initiatives. You will own the end-to-end relationship lifecycle for a diverse book of business. Success in this position will depend on your ability to communicate value and drive adoption at the executive level. You will leverage data and industry expertise to guide clients toward optimal outcomes. This is a foundational role for individuals who want to shape the future of client engagement within a data-centric organization.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Assume ownership of a defined book of business, managing a portfolio that spans SMB, mid-market, and enterprise accounts as well as agency partners.
- Act as a strategic advisor to clients, helping them maximize the utilization and ROI of our research outputs, forecasts, and industry insights.
- Analyze account health and identify specific pathways for growth, translating these insights into actionable expansion and renewal strategies.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional initiatives with product, marketing, and research teams to align solutions with client needs.
- Develop and maintain high-trust relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders across target accounts.
- Drive proactive engagement to ensure account plans are current, stakeholders are informed, and opportunities are clearly documented.
- Utilize analytical approaches to uncover upsell and cross-sell potential, ensuring the consistent realization of account value.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment between client objectives and Emarketer capabilities.
- Monitor competitive dynamics and market trends, adjusting account strategies to maintain a resilient and growing portfolio.
- Translate complex data and research into clear narratives that demonstrate tangible business impact to senior leadership.
- Implement account planning methodologies that prioritize activities based on revenue potential and strategic alignment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve client issues and remove barriers that could hinder account growth or retention.
- Track and report on key performance indicators for accounts, providing transparent updates to internal leadership.
- Ensure all client interactions reinforce the Emarketer brand promise of insight, reliability, and strategic partnership.
Requirements
- Hold a proven track record of managing and expanding B2B client relationships within environments driven by SaaS, data, and subscription models.
- Demonstrate a consistent history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets specifically for renewals and expansion efforts.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills that enable confident and compelling presentations to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Show advanced proficiency with CRM platforms, analytics dashboards, and enablement software to manage account health and inform strategy.
- Possess current authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship from an employer.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively from the New York City office on a hybrid schedule, balancing remote and in-office collaboration.
- Bring experience navigating complex organizational structures to influence stakeholders who are not under direct supervision.
- Apply a disciplined approach to managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.
