Emarketer operates as a subsidiary within the Axel Springer ecosystem, a family-owned transatlantic media group rooted in Berlin and New York. This role exists within a company guided by principles established after World War II, which continue to shape its foundational direction.
We are seeking a Managing Director to join the Enterprise Accounts team. In this capacity, you will be entrusted with developing and executing strategies for our most significant clients. The position involves leading, coaching, and developing a team of Account Managers and Account Directors. Your primary focus will be unlocking growth potential across Emarketer's largest and most strategic portfolio accounts. You will work in direct partnership with the SVP of Global Account Management and the broader Account Management leadership collective.
This position is structured as a hybrid role, anchored in our New York City office. It requires regular attendance and consistent in-office engagement.
Authorization to work in the United States is mandatory, both currently and for the foreseeable future. Visa sponsorship cannot be provided. Candidates must live in a location that allows for independent travel to the New York City office. Relocation support cannot be offered.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate

Core Responsibilities
You will oversee a portfolio of large corporate accounts, managing the professionals who engage with them daily.
Development of retention and expansion strategies is central to the role, ensuring long-term booking stability.
You will own the performance of a book of business, including specific upsell targets for your team.
Coaching will be delivered using high-performance management frameworks to unlock the full potential of Account Managers and Directors.
Cross-functional alignment with sales and product teams is necessary to ensure client priorities are reflected in roadmaps and solutions.
You will champion decisions based on data analysis to protect and increase spend across major client logos.
Translating complex market research into accessible narratives for executive audiences is a routine requirement.
You will mentor coaches to ensure Account Teams maintain elevated levels of client trust and performance.
Position Summary
This role is tailored for a leader with 3 to 5 years of experience managing enterprise account teams in a subscription-based market. A proven track record of growing complex bookings through strategic negotiation is required.
Professional authorization to work in the United States is required. Candidates must reside within a practical commuting zone of the New York City office.
