About the role
You will own the strategic direction and daily execution for a portfolio of high-value enterprise clients within the Emarketer business unit. This role requires you to act as the primary executive liaison, ensuring client objectives are met or exceeded through proactive relationship management. You will leverage data and market insights to identify new revenue opportunities and drive measurable growth across your book of business. Success in this position means becoming a trusted advisor who navigates complex corporate environments to secure long-term value. You will be expected to embody the core principles of Axel Springer SE while operating with agility in a fast-paced SaaS environment. This position demands a high level of ownership, resilience, and the ability to translate client needs into actionable solutions. You will report into the Account Management team and collaborate cross-functionally to shape the future of our client offerings.

What you'll do
- Orchestrate sophisticated account strategies for a minimum of 30 high-value clients, driving retention, expansion, and long-term revenue growth.
- Mine existing client data and market signals to uncover and secure upsell and cross-sell opportunities that align with Emarketer's product capabilities.
- Spearhead the expansion of client relationships by proactively engaging with emerging departments and business units to broaden the scope of engagement.
- Lead high-stakes C-level negotiations and renewal discussions, ensuring contract terms reflect strategic value and long-term partnership objectives.
- Sustain elevated levels of client engagement through structured business reviews, performance updates, and consultative solution discussions.
- Translate complex product offerings into clear value propositions, utilizing analytics and insights to quantify return on investment for stakeholders.
- Partner with internal departments including product, marketing, and customer success to design and deliver tailored solutions that optimize client outcomes.
- Champion the Emarketer brand by demonstrating deep expertise in the media and advertising technology landscape to key decision-makers.
- Monitor competitive dynamics and industry trends to adjust account plans and maintain a robust position within key accounts.
- Document all client interactions and strategic initiatives to ensure continuity and alignment across the account management lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed account plans that outline growth paths, stakeholder maps, and risk mitigation strategies for each major client.
- Act as the central point of contact for escalated issues, resolving conflicts and maintaining positive relationships at all organizational levels.
- Identify and mitigate potential churn risks by analyzing usage patterns and sentiment to implement proactive retention measures.
- Collaborate with sales and leadership to provide market feedback from the field, influencing product development and go-to-market strategies.
- Utilize CRM tools to maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and reporting on key performance indicators for the portfolio.
- Ensure all client communications adhere to the highest standards of professionalism, clarity, and alignment with company messaging.
- Drive the adoption of new features and services within existing accounts to maximize platform utilization and perceived value.
- Balance a portfolio of diverse clients, managing priorities to meet aggressive growth and retention targets.
Requirements
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and have a minimum of three years in full-cycle B2B account management for a subscription-based or SaaS product, with a proven track record in upselling, cross-selling, prospecting, and account expansion.
- Must demonstrate a history of negotiating contracts and renewals with senior executives and C-level clients in complex, enterprise-level environments.
- Must have a consistent record of sales quota attainment or overachievement, proving a strong aptitude for driving revenue growth.
- Must have experience building multi-threaded relationships across multiple stakeholders within large organizations to influence and manage complex sales cycles.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future, and must be within commuting distance of our New York City office.

Nice to have
- Preferred candidates will have prior experience within the media, advertising, or technology sectors, understanding the nuances of digital business models.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining long-term strategic partnerships with C-suite executives is highly valued.
- Experience with data analytics platforms and CRM systems such as Salesforce is considered a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with the digital advertising ecosystem, including marketplaces, supply chains, and audience segmentation, is a beneficial background element.
- Proficiency in presentation and visualization tools to craft compelling narratives for executive stakeholders is an asset.

This is a hybrid role based out of our New York City office, with regular in-office expectations. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future. Candidates must be within commuting distance of our New York City office.
