In this pivotal role, you will spearhead strategic efforts aimed at enhancing the research infrastructure and content analytics at Emarketer. Your leadership will be crucial in collaborating with various teams to refine the systems and data workflows that underpin our research offerings, ensuring they are both efficient and effective.

What you'll do
- Drive the modernization of forecasting data structures and operational processes by partnering with Product, Technology, and Data teams to enhance overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize tasks and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Evaluate existing forecasting methodologies to identify opportunities for increased scalability and transparency in data handling.
- Develop prototypes for new solutions that facilitate centralized data management and streamline system reconciliation processes.
- Oversee special projects that focus on optimizing the collection and utilization of research data to enhance its impact.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content performance to guide business strategies and resource distribution.
- Create interactive dashboards that present content performance metrics in a clear and accessible manner for leadership review.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization by providing insights and recommendations based on analytics.
- Mentor and guide team members in best practices for data analysis and project management, promoting professional growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in analytics to continually refine and improve our methodologies.
- Engage with external partners and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback that can inform our research strategies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in fields such as analytics, business intelligence, data products, consulting, or market research.
- A bachelor's degree in a quantitative, analytical, or technical discipline is required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead intricate cross-functional projects and effectively influence diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management capabilities, with a proven history of delivering solutions in complex and ambiguous situations.
- Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to convey technical concepts to both specialized and general audiences.
- Must possess authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Candidates must be located within commuting distance of the New York City office.
Nice to have
- Previous experience within a media organization, market intelligence firm, or a prestigious consulting company would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques or methodologies.
- Experience in leading teams or mentoring junior staff members.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in SQL and experienced with data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or PostgreSQL.
- Skilled in using dashboarding and reporting tools like Tableau, Sigma, Looker, or Power BI for data visualization.
- Basic knowledge of Python for automation tasks or prototyping new solutions.
- Understanding of APIs and structured data formats, including JSON and CSV.
- Experience with AI tools for data analysis and process automation to enhance efficiency.

Salary: The position offers a competitive salary range of $160,000 to $180,000 per year.
