The Forensics Operations Specialist serves as the critical client-facing expert entrusted with owning the end-to-end experience for forensic case engagements. This role is responsible for guaranteeing that every collection and forensic service delivery meets the highest standards of execution and completion. You will act as the central hub for coordination, translating client expectations into actionable workflows across internal teams. The specialist directly owns the client relationship for forensic matters, ensuring consistency and clarity from initial scoping to final delivery. Success in this position is defined by the ability to manage complex interactions while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. You will be the voice of the client within the organization and the voice of the organization within the client's environment. This role requires a proactive mindset to identify risks early and safeguard the integrity of every forensic engagement.

What you'll do
- Orchestrate the client lifecycle for forensic cases by managing scheduling, kickoff meetings, and ongoing status synchronization with external clients.
- Conduct scoping calls with stakeholders to dissect case background, objectives, and firm deadlines, ensuring all parties align on deliverables.
- Interface directly with the Forensics Operations Manager or Forensics Director to facilitate high-level consultations when case complexity demands specialized expertise.
- Partner with Sales teams to translate prospect needs into feasible forensic service offerings during initial discussions and proposal development.
- Liaise with Project Managers to ensure resource allocation, timelines, and budget adherence are consistently monitored and reported.
- Collaborate with Media Management personnel to verify the intake, storage, and handling of physical and digital evidence materials.
- Supervise the workflow of Forensic Examiners to ensure collection methodologies adhere to industry standards and legal protocols.
- Perform rigorous tracking and documentation quality control checks on every forensic ticket to maintain audit trails and compliance.
- Provide timely, structured status updates to all stakeholders across forensics projects using internal tools and communication channels.
- Gather and synthesize client feedback to drive continuous enhancements in the client experience and service delivery models.
- Act as a backup resource to the Forensics Operations Manager during peak periods or extended absences, ensuring operational continuity.
- Utilize case management software ecosystems, including Disco, LAW, Cellebrite, Relativity Processing, Nuix, X1, EnCase, FTK, FEX, and other platforms to maintain organized workflows.
- Resolve operational roadblocks by analyzing bottlenecks in the forensic process and implementing corrective actions swiftly.
- Champion best practices across the forensics department to elevate the overall quality and efficiency of case outcomes.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 3+ years of forensic or eDiscovery experience gained within a law firm, in-house legal department, or a dedicated service provider.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with an unwavering focus on detail, organization, and responsiveness.
- Possess a working knowledge of basic industry-standard forensic collection workflows and methodologies.
- Show familiarity with data collection and processing software, such as Disco, LAW, Cellebrite, Relativity Processing, Nuix, X1, EnCase, FTK, FEX, or other comparable platforms.
- Exhibit the ability to successfully manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously without compromising accuracy.
- Apply strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to navigate complex forensic scenarios and client requirements.
- Maintain eligibility to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship at any point in the future.
- Comply with Disco's policy which currently does not sponsor visas, including H-1B, TN, or EAD, and does not accept visa transfers for this role.
