Lead Product Manager
Job description
About the role
Lead Product Manager
GFS
We seek a Lead Product Manager for the Global Food Service (GFS) vertical. This role is central to our mission of delivering exceptional experiences through physical and digital innovation. GFS operates as Delivery Hero's infrastructure division, constructing cloud kitchens that enable restaurant expansion globally. This position represents a rare "Physical-meets-Digital" opportunity where you will architect the operating system for dynamic kitchen environments. Success is measured in seconds per order and the efficiency of every digital interaction.
Your primary mission is to own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for GFS CRM and Cloud Kitchen Operations. You will lead a focused squad of three, including Junior Product Managers and Product Designers, working in close collaboration with engineering, data, commercial, and regional partners. The role demands revolutionizing lead generation through AI and ML capabilities while building features that optimize real-world kitchen performance.
Core Responsibilities
You will define and drive the vision for cloud kitchen products that directly impact vertical growth and profitability. This involves analyzing complex behavioral data-such as drop-off funnels, feature adoption, and cohort retention-to translate insights into prioritized roadmap actions. You will foster a data-driven culture by partnering with analytics to make product usage information accessible and actionable for all stakeholders.
A key duty is empowering cross-functional squads by converting requirements into clear narratives that highlight user pain points and desired outcomes. You will maintain a sharp focus on measurable impact, tracking metrics such as rider wait time, prep time, lead quality, and average daily orders per kitchen. Your leadership will ensure that execution delivers real-world outcomes rather than merely releasing features.
You must operate effectively in an environment characterized by high autonomy and ambiguity. GFS serves as Delivery Hero's innovation hub, requiring comfort with incomplete data and evolving market conditions. You will break down open-ended challenges into clear, sequential steps for your team, maintaining alignment with strategic goals.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate brings seven or more years of product management experience, with a proven ability to lead strategy in complex ecosystems. You possess exceptional craft, applying sharp judgment and structured thinking to ambiguous problems. A strong track record of stakeholder management, particularly across regions and functions, is essential for success.
You demonstrate excellence in user discovery, data-driven prioritization, and metrics definition. Your communication skills enable you to influence commercial, data, and regional teams without direct authority. You care deeply about outcomes related to operational efficiency, including rider wait times and kitchen throughput.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tools such as BigQuery, SQL, Hotjar, and Looker is advantageous. Prior experience managing people or leading a team adds further value to your contribution.
Compensation and Location
This role is based in Berlin, Germany, and operates on a full-time basis. The compensation package ranges from 60,000 to 80,000 EUR annually, reflecting the scope and impact of the position.
Delivery Hero Culture and Benefits
Ensuring your well-being and growth is integral to our culture. We offer a hybrid work model, encouraging two days of weekly collaboration at our Berlin campus to foster connection and creativity. Our benefits include 27 days of holiday, increasing to 28 days after two years of service, and a generous educational budget of 1,000 EUR for professional development.
You will have access to health checkups, meditation resources, and gym support to maintain physical and mental health. Financial benefits include an Employee Share Purchase Plan, Sabbatical Bank, public transport discounts, life and accident insurance, and a corporate pension plan. We also provide digital meal vouchers and food vouchers to encourage shared experiences.
Relocation support and detailed information about Berlin integration are available to ensure a smooth transition. You are welcome to disclose your pronouns at any stage, and we provide accommodations for candidates with disabilities. Please contact our Inclusion Officer for support regarding the interview process.
