Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the end-to-end month-end close cycle to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across all legal entities.
- Lead audit engagements by coordinating with internal and external auditors while maintaining comprehensive documentation of internal control matrices.
- Execute special strategic projects including system implementations, process optimization initiatives, and integration activities related to acquisitions.
- Oversee general ledger maintenance, ensuring all account reconciliations are performed and the production of accurate financial statements.
- Establish and enforce robust accounting policies and internal control frameworks to mitigate operational risk.
- Partner with cross-functional internal teams such as Sales, Legal, and Product to support scalable business growth while safeguarding financial data integrity.
- Utilize advanced software solutions to automate and improve the efficiency of complex accounting workflows.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and guidance to C-level stakeholders to facilitate informed strategic business decisions.
- Serve as the technical accounting expert for revenue recognition policies and complex accounting estimate determinations.
- Drive the standardization of accounting processes to ensure consistency and compliance across international operations.
- Collaborate with the Tax function to ensure accurate calculation and reporting of tax provisions and liabilities.
- Mentor junior accounting staff to elevate the overall capability and effectiveness of the finance department.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a demonstrated history of holding leadership roles within fast-paced, high-growth technology companies.
- Deep technical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to apply these principles to complex business scenarios.
- Proven track record of owning the month-end close process end-to-end while managing the external audit lifecycle efficiently.
- Ability to design, implement, and continuously improve scalable accounting processes and internal controls specifically within technology-driven environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for coordinating effectively across multiple departments and organizational levels.
- Capacity to navigate ambiguous priorities and manage shifting deadlines in a high-growth, dynamic corporate environment.
- Demonstrated experience with public company financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills required to identify discrepancies and resolve complex accounting issues.
