Partner, AI-Enabled CDI, Care Management, and Utilization Management Transformation

About the role

Chartis is seeking a Partner to lead the development and implementation of AI-enabled solutions focused on CDI, care management, and utilization management transformation. This role will help healthcare organizations modernize documentation, utilization review, denial prevention, and care progression workflows by embedding AI, automation, and predictive analytics into operational and clinical processes. Partners are integral members of our firm's leadership team providing leadership capital - both internally and externally - to sustain the firm's rapid growth and ultimately allow it to have a greater impact on the healthcare system. You will provide leadership across multiple dimensions including thought leadership, consulting engagement delivery, client service, business development, and cultural stewardship as part of the leadership team. As a Partner, you will be responsible for advancing the firm's impact by leading the execution and delivery of large, complex consulting engagements while simultaneously expanding new and potential business opportunities. You will design AI native CDI, care progression, and utilization review workflows to enable business transformation and outline business value propositions and savings through analytics and AI into workflows. Additionally, you will align clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders around transformation priorities while building and maintaining trust-based relationships with existing and prospective clients.

What you'll do

Lead AI-enabled CDI, Care Management, and Utilization Management transformation engagements within Chartis' Performance Transformation Line of Business, directing engagement teams, guiding strategic problem solving, and overseeing analyses, client deliverables, and implementation activities.

Design AI native CDI, care progression, and utilization review workflows to enable business transformation and embed intelligent automation into core healthcare processes.

Outline business value propositions and savings through analytics and AI into workflows to demonstrate measurable impact on financial and clinical outcomes.

Align clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders around transformation priorities to ensure cohesive execution and shared objectives.

Develop scalable AI-enabled offerings across revenue integrity and clinical operations that advance the firm's thought leadership through distinctive insights, innovative solutions, and new service offerings.

Build and maintain trust-based relationships with existing and prospective clients, drawing upon healthcare knowledge and insights to surface and discuss issues within and beyond the scope of specific consulting engagements.

Embody the role of people leader by cultivating strong relationships with colleagues, as well as mentoring and developing consulting colleagues to foster professional growth and collaboration.

Partner with clinicians, physician advisors, and operational leaders to design and implement practical solutions that enhance care management and financial performance.

Utilize strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills to navigate complex organizational environments.

Drive thought leadership by producing distinctive insights and innovative solutions that reshape how AI enhances revenue integrity and clinical operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree is preferred.

10-15+ years of experience in Clinical Documentation Improvement, Care Management, Utilization Management, revenue cycle operations, or healthcare consulting.

Deep expertise in DRGs, denial prevention and management, documentation workflows, and revenue integrity operations.

Demonstrated success improving care progression, utilization management, and financial performance across healthcare organizations.

Experience partnering with clinicians, physician advisors, and operational leaders to drive transformation initiatives.

Strong understanding of EHR workflows, clinical documentation processes, and healthcare operational systems.

Experience leading operational improvement or transformation initiatives within complex health systems.

Ability to translate operational and clinical challenges into scalable, AI-enabled workflow solutions.

Nice to have

Epic (CDI, HIM, CM modules).

Certifications: CCDS, CCM preferred.

NLP / AI tools familiarity.

Revenue cycle platforms.

Practical notes

Salary range: $250,000-$350,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

Remote work is allowed.

Full-time engagement.
