About the role
Chartis is seeking experienced healthcare management consultants to join the firm as Engagement Managers within the Financial Performance Improvement Practice, a core component of the Financial Transformation line of business. In this role, the hire will own the leadership of the problem-solving process and the day-to-day management of project teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality analyses and sophisticated client deliverables. The position requires acting as a trusted advisor to healthcare providers, payers, and innovators, drawing upon deep healthcare knowledge and insights to guide critical initiatives. Engagement Managers will balance work effort and input from clients and colleagues across clinical, digital, and strategic lines of business to achieve comprehensive enterprise transformation goals. The role involves coaching and mentoring junior staff, rapidly developing their skills through an apprenticeship-based development model while contributing to the firm's growth. Success in this position will be defined by the ability to create compelling deliverables that motivate clients to action and drive sustainable financial and operational improvements. What you'll do
Lead the end-to-end problem-solving process and assume full ownership of the day-to-day management of the project team, including overseeing the team's analyses and deliverables.
Manage the overall project lifecycle, balancing work effort and input from clients and colleagues across different levels and lines of business to achieve strategic goals.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, drawing upon extensive healthcare knowledge, experience, and insights to guide complex financial and operational initiatives.
Create sophisticated, compelling, and actionable deliverables that motivate clients to take decisive action and implement transformation strategies.
Coach and mentor junior staff, rapidly developing their skills and knowledge through a structured apprenticeship-based development model.
Support the firm's growth by contributing to talent initiatives, solution development, thought leadership, and other strategic areas that enhance market presence.
Leverage advanced skills in Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint to synthesize complex data into clear, visual narratives that inform decision-making.
Drive strong client relationships by demonstrating outstanding verbal and written communication skills, translating intricate findings into insights that inspire change.
Champion an entrepreneurial mindset, challenging the status quo and developing new solutions to address evolving healthcare challenges.

Collaborate closely with colleagues from Clinical, Digital & Technology, and Strategic Transformation lines of business to deliver comprehensive and integrated enterprise transformation services.
Ensure that project activities align with client timelines and quality standards while maintaining a relentless focus on sustainable financial and operational outcomes.
Identify opportunities to innovate within engagements, applying creativity and methodological rigor to overcome persistent healthcare barriers.
Serve as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders, fostering transparency and trust throughout the duration of multi-phase projects.
Requirements
Possess at least 6 years of experience working with healthcare providers on financial and operational performance improvement and/or post-merger integration operational initiatives, including a minimum of 3 years managing others.
Demonstrate proven experience in leading comprehensive financial and operational improvement engagements or leading work teams within the overall engagement, such as efforts in workforce, supply chain, provider enterprise, procedural, throughput and patient flow.
Hold an advanced degree, such as an MBA, MHA, or MPH, which is preferred for this demanding role.
Exhibit excellent critical thinking and analytical skills to navigate complex healthcare data and translate it into actionable strategies.
Showcase outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to share insights in a way that motivates clients to action and supports organizational change.
Prove strong people leadership capabilities, adept at managing a team's work while developing colleagues' capabilities and fostering professional growth.
Maintain advanced skills in Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint to build robust models, visualizations, and presentations that communicate value clearly.

Practical notes
On average, 25%-50% client travel is required. #LI-Remote
This role is full-time and eligible for a competitive total compensation package.
