About the role
You will operate as a central implementation lead within client teams, owning the day-to-day execution of communications strategies and deliverables. The position requires you to develop the initial frameworks and driving the iterative editing process for a wide range of client materials. You will be responsible for editing the work of other team members to ensure quality and consistency across outputs. A core part of the role involves conducting proactive media pitching, outreach, and ongoing monitoring of coverage. You will own the creation of weekly and monthly results reports, translating activities into clear narratives for stakeholders. Success in this position demands rigorous self-planning and disciplined time management to meet client expectations. You will handle the logistics and tactical implementation details of projects from start to finish. Furthermore, you will conduct research to inform client projects and deepen your understanding of industry and competitor issues. The role requires you to develop a sophisticated grasp of healthcare industry trends and category dynamics to provide strategic value. You will be expected to offer proactive, value-added suggestions to enhance client work and manage up effectively to ensure timely delivery of all commitments.

What you'll do
Develop initial drafts and drive the editing process of client materials to ensure clarity and strategic alignment.
Edit materials produced by other team members to maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.
Conduct media pitching, outreach, and monitoring to secure earned media and manage client visibility.
Draft weekly and monthly results reports that communicate progress, insights, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
Implement weekly self-planning and time management routines to prioritize tasks and meet firm and client deadlines.
Handle logistics and tactical implementation of projects from conception through execution.
Research topics and issues to support client projects and build contextual knowledge for strategic recommendations.
Gain an increasingly sophisticated understanding of industry and competitor issues and trends relevant to client markets and the healthcare service category.
Offer proactive, value-added suggestions to enhance client work, including asking critical questions and managing up to ensure deliverables are met on schedule.
Provide timely reporting to managers, colleagues, and team leads to maintain transparency and alignment on objectives.
Implement other tasks as assigned by managers or team leads to support team capacity and client needs.
Serve as an internal go-to person for client teams, facilitating communication and ensuring seamless execution.
Contribute to a collegial and inclusive workplace by collaborating effectively with colleagues who share a commitment to high-quality work.
Act as a strategic partner to clients by demonstrating creative problem-solving and a deep commitment to improving healthcare outcomes.
Requirements
Have earned a bachelor's degree; communications, public relations, journalism or political science focus is beneficial.
Possess 2-3 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
Consistently deliver work on-time to achieve client commitments and maintain firm credibility.
Demonstrate strategic thinking that leads to quality deliverables and successful program implementation.
Effectively plan and manage your own time well as well as for your teams to maximize productivity.

Practical notes
This is a hybrid role requiring Advisors to work in-person at one of our office locations 1-2 days per week.
Candidates must live in Chicago, IL or Nashville, TN or be willing to relocate to either city.
Salary range is $62,500-$68,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
