What you'll do

• Lead and supervise multiple solar construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Manage and mentor on-site construction teams, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with local authorities and utility companies to secure necessary permits and approvals for project execution.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and safety records, to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Implement best practices for solar installation techniques, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds industry standards.
• Address and resolve any on-site conflicts or challenges promptly, maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders involved.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the work environment is safe for all personnel.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing regular updates to senior management on financial performance and project status.
• Facilitate regular meetings with project teams and stakeholders to communicate progress, address concerns, and align on project goals.
• Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure that Calsolarinc remains at the forefront of solar energy solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role within the solar or construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, installation processes, and construction management principles.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
• Proficient in project management software and tools, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges on-site.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with specific solar technologies, such as photovoltaic (PV) systems or solar thermal systems.
• Certifications in project management (PMP, CAPM) or relevant safety training (OSHA, First Aid).
• Familiarity with local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations in California.
• Previous experience in managing large-scale solar projects or utility-scale installations.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or another language is a plus.
