The successful candidate will play a role in coordinating solar energy projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all phases are executed efficiently and effectively. What you'll do
- Oversee the planning and execution of solar energy projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with clients to gather project requirements and expectations, maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and progress reports, to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop project plans that align with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential challenges and opportunities for each project.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to secure necessary materials and services, negotiating terms to optimize project costs.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed to address any issues that arise.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial forecasts, tracking expenditures to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Facilitate project meetings with stakeholders to review progress, discuss challenges, and strategize solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on project management best practices and tools.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in solar technology to inform project strategies and enhance service offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of solar energy systems and technologies, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable plans.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on quality and accuracy in all project deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with solar project financing and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software for reviewing project plans.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to solar energy projects.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or another language is a plus.
