About the role

We are looking for a full-time Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) to join Brave Health's dedicated team in Florida. This on-site position involves providing outpatient mental health services to clients within a community health-centered organization committed to expanding access to quality care. As part of our team, you will work directly with clients, supporting their mental health needs through compassionate, evidence-based interventions. What you'll do

• Deliver outpatient mental health services to clients in a community setting, ensuring personalized care tailored to individual needs
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans that promote client recovery and well-being
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, substance use, and social determinants affecting their health
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with organizational and HIPAA standards
• Support clients in setting and achieving their mental health goals through evidence-based therapeutic techniques
• Participate actively in weekly team meetings, case consultations, and supervision sessions to ensure quality care and professional development
• Assist in coordinating care with other healthcare providers, community resources, and support systems to facilitate treatment approaches
• Engage clients with empathy and respect, fostering a trusting environment that encourages openness and progress
• Follow organizational protocols, policies, and ethical guidelines to ensure compliance and high standards of care
• Contribute to the organization's mission of increasing access to mental health services, especially for underserved populations
• Support outreach and community engagement efforts to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma
• Stay informed about best practices, new treatment modalities, and relevant community resources to enhance service delivery
• Participate in organizational training sessions and continuing education opportunities to advance clinical skills and knowledge
• Assist in data collection and reporting activities related to service delivery and client outcomes

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master's degree in social work or a related mental health field
• Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as a social worker (e.g., LMSW, LCSW)
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; the employer does not support employment sponsorship now or in the future
• Ability to work on-site in Florida; this role is not remote or hybrid
• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required
• Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, community-centered mental health care
• Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse diagnosis and treatment principles
• Ability to develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans based on client needs and progress
• Comfort with utilizing telehealth software, video communication tools, and internal organizational communication platforms
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and with external partners
• Respect for client confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and ethical standards in mental health practice
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage documentation and case notes effectively
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced community health setting

Practical notes

• This is an on-site position based in Florida; remote work is not applicable for this role
• The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts required
• Typical shift options include 10am-7pm and 11am-8pm Eastern time
