What you'll do

• Provide outpatient mental health therapy to clients via telehealth, ensuring accessible and high-quality care in accordance with best practices and organizational standards.
• Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' mental health needs, including diagnosis and evaluation of substance abuse issues when applicable.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's goals, needs, and cultural background, ensuring a collaborative approach.
• Deliver therapy sessions using telehealth software and video communication tools, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Document all client interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and promptly within the organization's electronic health record system.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and privacy standards, creating a safe and secure environment for clients during virtual sessions.
• Work closely with clients to set achievable goals and monitor progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, training sessions, and organizational meetings to stay current with best practices and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other therapists, case managers, and community health workers, to coordinate care and support clients' overall well-being.
• Support community outreach initiatives and participate in organizational efforts to expand access to mental health services, especially for underserved populations.
• Maintain a flexible schedule within the designated shift hours, which include options such as 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm, or 11am-8pm EST, Monday through Friday.
• Engage in regular supervision and peer consultation to ensure quality of care and professional growth.

• Support organizational efforts to improve service delivery and client satisfaction through feedback and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work or a related mental health field, along with current licensure as an LCSW.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; employer sponsorship is not supported or required.
• Ability to work from a private, HIPAA-compliant home workspace that ensures patient confidentiality and safety.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is preferred and may be compensated with additional pay.
• Experience providing outpatient mental health therapy, preferably via telehealth platforms.
• Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses and substance abuse issues.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments.
• Comfort and proficiency with telehealth software, video communication tools, and electronic health record systems.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients remotely.
• Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and prioritize client needs effectively.
• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and cultural competence in care delivery.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation and meet organizational deadlines.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and organizational initiatives aimed at improving service quality.

• Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish, to serve a broader community and receive additional compensation.
• Experience working with Medicaid and Medicare populations, understanding their specific needs and requirements.
• Familiarity with community health initiatives and outreach programs to expand access to underserved populations.
• Prior experience in outpatient mental health settings, including private practices or community clinics.
• Knowledge of culturally competent care practices to effectively serve diverse populations.
• Additional certifications or training in specialized areas such as trauma, substance abuse, or child and adolescent therapy.
