We are looking for dedicated full-time Licensed Master Social Workers to join our team and provide outpatient mental health services through our telehealth platform. This role is based in New York State and involves working on-site to deliver high-quality, accessible mental health care to diverse patient populations. What you'll do
- Provide outpatient mental health services to patients across the lifespan via telehealth, ensuring accessibility and quality of care.
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patient needs, mental health status, and treatment goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances and cultural background.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of clinical sessions, treatment progress, and any relevant updates in electronic health records.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations, maintaining patient confidentiality during all interactions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, case managers, and other mental health professionals, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in regular supervision and ongoing training to meet licensure requirements and stay current with best practices.
- Engage with patients in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive manner, fostering trust and rapport.
- Utilize telehealth technology effectively, including video communication platforms and internal communication tools, to deliver seamless care.
- Support patients in achieving their mental health goals, promoting recovery, resilience, and overall well-being.
- Educate patients about mental health conditions and treatment options, empowering them to participate actively in their care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Advocate for patients' needs within the healthcare system and connect them with community resources when appropriate.
- Uphold organizational standards and policies, including confidentiality, safety, and ethical guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by participating in team meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to all licensing and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work (MSW) and active licensure as an LMSW.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States, with no need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to work from a private, HIPAA-compliant space at home that ensures patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is preferred and considered a plus.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including Medicaid and Medicare patients, in outpatient settings.
- Strong knowledge of mental health and substance abuse diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention strategies.
- Comfort with using telehealth software, video communication platforms, and digital tools for internal communication.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and prioritize tasks effectively.
