What you'll do

• Provide outpatient mental health therapy to patients via telehealth, ensuring compassionate and culturally sensitive care.
• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate mental health conditions, substance abuse issues, and other related concerns.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, goals, and circumstances.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation of all patient interactions, assessments, and treatment progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize telehealth software and video communication tools effectively to deliver therapy sessions, ensuring a seamless virtual experience for patients.
• Engage patients in setting achievable goals and monitor their progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary.
• Provide psychoeducation and support to patients and their families, fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic environment.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and organizational meetings to stay current with best practices and organizational policies.
• Support the organization's mission to expand access to mental health services, especially for Medicaid and Medicare populations.
• Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards at all times, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
• Assist in community outreach efforts and contribute to organizational initiatives aimed at reducing mental health disparities.
• Work within a flexible schedule aligned with shift options including 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm, or 11am-8pm Eastern, Monday through Friday, with no weekend commitments.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing insights, providing peer support, and participating in team meetings.
• Use internal communication tools to coordinate with colleagues and document case notes efficiently.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work or a related field, along with valid licensure as an LCSW.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States, with no requirement for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to work from a private, HIPAA-compliant home space that ensures patient confidentiality and safety.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
• Experience providing mental health therapy, particularly via telehealth platforms, is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, substance abuse issues, and treatment modalities.
• Strong skills in treatment planning, assessment, and documentation.
• Comfort and familiarity with telehealth software, video communication tools, and internal communication systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.
• Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Demonstrated commitment to serving underserved communities and promoting health equity.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.

Practical notes

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Florida, requiring the candidate to work at a designated office location. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend work, with shift options including 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm, or 11am-8pm Eastern.
