What you'll do
- Conduct detailed land surveys using advanced surveying equipment and technology to gather accurate data for various projects.
- Analyze survey data to create precise maps, reports, and documentation that meet regulatory and client specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to provide essential input on project designs, ensuring feasibility and compliance with local regulations.
- Utilize software tools for data analysis and visualization, enhancing the presentation of survey findings to stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive records of all surveying activities, including field notes, calculations, and reports.
- Participate in site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Ensure that all surveying work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior surveyors and interns, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality work output.
- Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on surveying matters, enhancing client relationships.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve surveying methodologies and practices.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and timelines, ensuring that surveying tasks are completed within allocated resources.
- Contribute to the development of project proposals and presentations, showcasing Ahk Group's capabilities and expertise in surveying.
Requirements
- A degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in land surveying, preferably within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS equipment, and levels.
- Familiarity with surveying software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools for data analysis and mapping.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and produce clear, concise reports.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- A valid professional surveying license or certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and related technologies.
- Knowledge of local land use regulations and zoning laws in Malaysia.
- Previous involvement in large-scale construction projects or infrastructure development.
- Familiarity with environmental surveying practices and sustainability considerations.
- Additional certifications in project management or related fields would be advantageous.
