Ahk Group is looking for a Field Operations Sampler to join their team based in Immingham, North Yorkshire. What you'll do

• Carry out field-based sampling tasks across designated operational sites in and around the Immingham area.
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure samples are collected in a consistent and accurate manner every time.
• Label, store, and transport samples according to established protocols and chain-of-custody requirements at all times.
• Record all sampling data in field logs and digital systems to maintain traceability and support reporting.
• Inspect sampling equipment before and after each use to confirm it is in proper working order.
• Communicate with the operations team to coordinate sampling schedules and plan daily field activities effectively.
• Maintain awareness of health and safety regulations and apply them during all fieldwork without exception.
• Report any anomalies, incidents, or deviations from expected results to the supervising manager promptly.
• Participate in routine calibration and maintenance of sampling instruments and field gear to ensure reliability.
• Support the preparation of field reports and documentation for internal review and regulatory compliance purposes.
• Work alongside colleagues to ensure sampling workflows run smoothly and meet daily production targets.
• Adhere to company policies and site-specific rules governing sample collection, handling, and disposal procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in field operations, sampling, or a related hands-on operational role in a professional setting.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven or challenging terrain.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to recording and handling data accurately.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices relevant to field-based work and site operations.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting findings clearly.
• Willingness to follow written procedures and standard operating protocols consistently without deviation.
• Physical fitness to carry out repetitive tasks and manage sampling equipment on site throughout the day.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new sampling methods and evolving site requirements.
• Competence with basic IT tools for entering and retrieving field data from digital systems.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
