Key facts
What you'll do
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
- Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and collections.
- Prepare and submit tax returns and other regulatory filings in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with local tax laws.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support financial planning.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances to inform management decisions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide support for financial reporting and analysis, including variance analysis and financial modeling.
- Assist in the management of fixed assets, ensuring proper tracking and reporting of asset acquisitions and disposals.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial matters, providing accurate and timely information.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by the finance manager, supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MYOB, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as local tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Nice to have
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis in a multi-currency environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial management software.
