About the role
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing a variety of programs tailored for advisors, investors, and affluent families associated with a US-based investment firm. Your focus will be on public relations, overseeing publishing initiatives, and fostering strategic partnerships for two unique brands. Your effectiveness will be gauged by your ability to broaden the firm's reach into new markets and generate around 1,000 new qualified connections each month through effective PR and partnership strategies.

What you'll do
- Spearhead all public relations efforts, which include establishing media relationships, pitching compelling stories, securing media placements, and monitoring the overall reputation of the brand.
- Oversee the complete book publishing lifecycle, which encompasses editing, gathering endorsements, managing distribution, and collecting reviews.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with advisors, organizing workshops, educational courses, and community engagement events.
- Identify and propose relevant conferences and sponsorship opportunities, representing the brand at these events to maximize their value.
- Manage radio and podcast initiatives, creating engaging content and leading earned-media campaigns.
- Scout and evaluate additional talent, such as videographers or influencers, as required for various projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align PR strategies with broader business goals, ensuring cohesive messaging across all channels.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of PR campaigns, using data to refine strategies and improve outreach efforts.
- Develop training materials and resources for team members to enhance their understanding of PR best practices.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry trends and innovations in public relations.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team, encouraging creative approaches to problem-solving.
- Lead brainstorming sessions to generate fresh ideas for PR campaigns and initiatives that resonate with target audiences.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in public relations, communications, or media relations, with a successful track record of securing media placements and a robust network of media and partner contacts.
- Near-native proficiency in English, with the ability to comfortably engage with US media, partners, and advisors both over the phone and in face-to-face settings.
- A relationship-driven approach, emphasizing the importance of building trust and rapport over time.
- Previous experience in book or thought-leadership public relations, including managing launches, reviews, and creating press kits.
- Proven experience in navigating conferences, securing sponsorships, and obtaining speaking opportunities.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrating commitment and consistent communication in all interactions.
- Capability to develop AI-driven systems for media list creation, monitoring, and outreach personalization to enhance reach and effectiveness.
- Self-motivated and proactive in addressing challenges, learning new tools, and utilizing team resources effectively.
Nice to have
- An established network within media, podcasts, or partnerships in sectors such as finance, real estate, investment, or community-focused areas like coaching and faith.
- Experience in public relations specifically within financial services or investor communications, with an understanding of compliance regulations.
- Background in managing advisor or community programs, showcasing organizational and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with building AI-enhanced PR systems, including media databases and tailored pitch pipelines.
- A polished demeanor that prioritizes relationship-building and fosters positive interactions.
- A valid passport and readiness to travel to the US up to six times a year for approximately one week per trip (e.g., the first week of August 31
- September 3).
