About the role
This position is responsible for managing and enhancing 6sense's global benefits offerings. You will oversee daily operations, employee inquiries, and vendor relationships to ensure programs are compliant and meet employee needs. In this role, you will own the end-to-end administration of a diverse benefits portfolio across multiple regions, ensuring seamless execution and high levels of employee satisfaction. You will act as the central expert for all benefits-related topics, providing guidance and support to HR teams and employees globally. The position requires a proactive mindset to identify process gaps and implement corrective actions before they impact staff. You will serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive alignment and efficiency. Success in this role will be measured by accurate program delivery, strong compliance, and data-driven improvements to the employee experience.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the daily administration of health, retirement, leave, and wellness programs across the U.S., India, Canada, and the UK, ensuring operational excellence.
- Support HR shared services by managing escalations, service delivery, documentation, and adherence to global policies with a focus on quality and timeliness.
- Administer all leave programs, including statutory, FMLA, state leaves, disability, and ADA processes, ensuring compliance and proper tracking for audit readiness.
- Coordinate global benefits renewals and the annual cycle, including open enrollment, system testing, communications, and financial alignment to prevent disruptions.
- Collaborate with vendors, brokers, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and HR Technology teams on deductions, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance to maintain data integrity.
- Ensure all benefits programs adhere to relevant regulations, including tax, social insurance, health coverage, and data privacy laws through vigilant monitoring.
- Oversee benefits systems and vendor performance, focusing on data accuracy, access, service levels, and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Provide reporting and analysis on program costs, utilization, vendor performance, and audit findings to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
- Partner with HR Technology to optimize benefits platforms, leveraging AI tools, automation, and reporting to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing process workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions that elevate the employee benefits experience.
- Serve as the primary contact for complex employee inquiries, resolving issues promptly and with empathy to maintain trust and satisfaction.
- Ensure consistency in benefits communication and implementation across all regions, supporting the company's global workforce effectively.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to proactively adjust benefits strategies and maintain competitive offerings.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align benefits initiatives with broader talent, compensation, and organizational objectives.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in benefits administration or a related Total Rewards function, with exposure to international benefits.
- Thorough understanding of U.S. and global benefits regulations, compliance, governance, leave programs, and self-insured plan administration.
- Proven experience working with vendors, brokers, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and HR Technology teams to resolve issues and manage renewals.
- Strong attention to detail, operational discipline, and the ability to provide clear, confidential, and empathetic employee support.
- Experience using AI tools, automation, reporting, and process improvement to enhance benefits operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to translate complex benefits information into clear terms for employees.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing controls.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive employee information with integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, aligning with 6sense's remote-first culture.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations or extended hours during global benefits renewal periods as needed.
Nice to have
- Experience with HRIS and benefits platforms, particularly Workday benefits administration and U.S. open enrollment.
- Familiarity with systems like Sequoia or Sparrow.
- CEBS or a similar certification.
- Experience in a global or SaaS environment.
- Exposure to benefits analytics.
- Experience guiding team members.
Practical notes
- Base Salary Range: $77,919.00 - $114,281.20. Actual salary may vary based on location and experience.
- Total compensation includes base salary, potential bonus or commission plan, and stock options.
- Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401K employer matching, paid holidays, self-care days, and paid time off (PTO).
