What you'll do

• Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services that meet company standards.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities, reliability, and pricing structures.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions, while maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with various departments to forecast demand and prevent stock shortages or overstock situations.
• Analyze purchasing data and market trends to make informed decisions that align with the company's financial goals.
• Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets and ensure that procurement activities remain within allocated financial limits.
• Evaluate supplier performance through regular assessments and feedback, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Work closely with the logistics team to streamline the supply chain process, ensuring timely delivery of products to meet operational needs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve procurement processes and strategies.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and sourcing initiatives.
• Provide training and guidance to junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing or technology environment.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms with suppliers.
• Excellent analytical abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all procurement activities.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in procurement and supply chain management.

Nice to have

• Certification in Supply Chain Management (CSCM) or a similar credential.
• Experience with international sourcing and understanding of global supply chain dynamics.
• Familiarity with sustainable sourcing practices and ethical procurement standards.
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Hebrew or Arabic, is a plus.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement software, such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges creatively.
