About the role

Zutacore is seeking an experienced and visionary Global Director of IT, Security & AI Enablement to lead our technology initiatives. This pivotal role will be responsible for the strategic direction and execution of our IT infrastructure, security protocols, and artificial intelligence integration across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both IT and security landscapes, along with a passion for leveraging AI to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation. This position is based in Sderot and offers a full-time engagement.

What you'll do

Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives of Zutacore, ensuring the integration of security and AI technologies across all departments.
Oversee the design and management of secure IT infrastructures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while minimizing risks associated with data breaches and cyber threats.
Lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI enablement, driving projects that enhance data analytics, automation, and machine learning capabilities within the organization.
Collaborate with senior leadership to establish a robust cybersecurity framework, including risk assessment, incident response, and disaster recovery plans.
Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging the exploration of emerging technologies and their potential applications within the business.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services, software, and hardware to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
Provide mentorship and guidance to IT staff, promoting professional development and ensuring the team is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills in technology and security.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to IT operations, security incidents, and AI project outcomes to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to proactively adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Develop and implement training programs for employees on IT security best practices and the responsible use of AI technologies.
Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all IT and AI initiatives adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
Prepare and present regular updates to the executive team and board of directors regarding IT performance, security posture, and AI initiatives.

Requirements

A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on security and AI technologies.
Proven track record of developing and executing IT strategies that drive organizational success and enhance security measures.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices, as well as experience with risk management and compliance.
Demonstrated experience in implementing AI solutions and driving digital transformation initiatives within an organization.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.) is preferred.

Nice to have

Experience working in a global organization with a diverse workforce.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and their security implications.
Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
Understanding of DevOps practices and their role in enhancing IT security.

Skills & tools

Proficiency in IT management software, security tools, and AI platforms.
Strong knowledge of networking, cloud services, and database management systems.
Familiarity with programming languages and data analysis tools is a plus.
Experience with project management methodologies and tools.

Practical notes

This position is based in Sderot, and candidates should be prepared for occasional travel as needed.
The role may require working outside of standard business hours to address critical issues or oversee project implementations.
