Ztr is seeking an experienced Product Manager specializing in IoT and Telematics to join our dynamic team in London, Ontario. This role is pivotal in driving the development and enhancement of our innovative IoT solutions, aimed at optimizing fleet management and telematics systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product management, with a focus on IoT technologies, and will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet market demands.

What you'll do
- Lead the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to define product requirements and prioritize features based on user feedback and market analysis.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer pain points, translating insights into actionable product strategies.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key milestones, deliverables, and timelines for IoT and telematics projects.
- Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates on product development progress and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Analyze product performance metrics post-launch to assess success and identify areas for enhancement, driving iterative improvements.
- Manage the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined and prioritized for development sprints.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries, providing expert knowledge on IoT and telematics solutions to both internal teams and external clients.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches, including pricing, positioning, and promotional activities.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative problem-solving and the exploration of new technologies in the IoT space.
- Mentor and guide junior product team members, sharing best practices and fostering professional growth.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to represent Ztr and stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in IoT and telematics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, specifically within the IoT or telematics domain.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing technology products throughout their lifecycle.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools, such as Scrum or Kanban, to manage product development processes.
- Familiarity with IoT technologies, data analytics, and telematics systems, along with a passion for innovation in these areas.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a related field or an MBA.
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry, with a deep understanding of fleet management challenges.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to IoT and telematics solutions.
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles and methodologies.
- Previous experience with cloud platforms and data integration technologies.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in product management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana for project tracking and collaboration.
- Strong understanding of data analytics tools and techniques to assess product performance and user engagement.
- Familiarity with IoT platforms and technologies, including sensors, connectivity protocols, and data visualization tools.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting and presentations.
